About This Pub
So, I've got to say, Champs Sports Bar & Grill in Loughborough is one of those places that really hits the mark for a relaxed night out. The staff are absolute gems – think folks like Gina and the manager Keiran, who are always up for a laugh and make sure everything runs smoothly. It's got this electric vibe, especially when the footy's on, with loads of screens to catch every moment, and the food is genuinely brilliant; I heard from a few who've tried it that the chef Craig knows his stuff, serving up quick and delicious meals that leave you smiling. It's a great shout if you're after somewhere to unwind with friends or even bring the kids for a bite. But, let's be honest, it does have its downsides – it fills up fast, and you might find yourself waiting ages for a drink when it's packed, which can take the edge off the fun. Plus, the karaoke isn't quite as entertaining as you'd hope, so maybe stick to the sports side of things. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time in Loughborough, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and pick your visit wisely.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient, like Gina and Carl who always make you feel welcome with their cheerful service.
-
The atmosphere is buzzing, especially when there's a big game on – perfect for enjoying the footy with mates on one of their many screens.
-
The food is spot on and comes out quickly; it's delicious and great for a casual meal, whether you're with the family or just popping in.
-
It's open seven days a week with flexible hours, making it easy to drop by for a drink or a bite at various times.
Cons
-
It can get really crowded, which means long waits at the bar and makes it a bit of a squeeze during peak times.
-
Karaoke nights aren't up to much, so you might want to give those a miss if you're after top-notch entertainment.
-
Food quality has had its wobbles in the past, with some reports of it being cold or service slipping, even though it's improved lately.

Good service, very polite staff, Gina and Carl are amazing behind the bar, friendly, polite and cheerful. Keiran as manager runs a tight ship, he's friendly outgoing and will have a good laugh with the customers and staff. Definitely a pub to go to in loughborough 😊😊😊
Went in for food and it was delicious. No faults whatsoever. Craig (the chef) is brilliant and much better than the last 2 chefs. Food was out promptly.
Decided to nip in for a quick drink whilst out and about and the service I received from Gina was incredible. Such a friendly and bubbly lady. She’s a credit to the bar.
Awesome Bar but Shame it gets over crowded and takes ages to get served. it's Real nice decor n atmosphere, lots of screens and entertainment but karaoke is terrible. Food was great at 1st but has really gone down hill last 2 few times been cold and poor service. Has now improved recently. Security on wkends are rude and insulting.
