Definitely worth the trip if you’re a fan. Amazing memorabilia. Great atmosphere. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. (Of course it was the Trooper burger). If you’re in London and a Maiden fan, you can’t miss it. Easy to get to on the underground. So glad I went.
This pub is a true London landmark, a piece of history considering it hosted the first Iron Maiden shows and is full of memorabilia signed by the band and their collaborators over the years.
It was my first visit, and it exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it already looks great, and once you step in, it’s bright, clean, and has a relaxed atmosphere. There’s a wide selection of beers and a food menu, many of the beers are from Iron Maiden’s own range.
Beyond just visiting this pub as an Iron Maiden museum, there’s also the chance to enjoy live music in the downstairs venue.
The pub manager was incredibly kind; even though the venue was technically closed since we visited in the afternoon, she opened up the room for us, gave us a mini tour, and shared some history about the place, both past and present.
I was pleasantly surprised by how professional the stage area is in this location.
Also worth noting: there’s a station nearby with easy access via the Elizabeth Line!
We’ll definitely be back for a beer and some live music.
This is a legendary place where legends were maid and titans got laid. If you didn't like it, you're just a poser.
The atmosphere is both relaxed and epic, the drinks are super affordable for the area, the food is super decent, the staff is lovely. Plus, there's Iron Maiden in them walls and maybe you'll finally become less maidenless if you just stop being such a weakling.
Just go there and have fun.
I love this place.
First visit to the venue and certainly won't be my last. Great small music venue, ideal shape and size, excellent sound quality and excellently looked after by the staff who's friendliness was a credit to themselves and the venue. The Iron Maiden memorabilia is a lovely touch and fans of the band should give themselves some extra time if visiting to enjoy it
It’s so good to see decent rock pubs still about with this one being famed for being “the” Iron Maiden pub and once inside there’s no denying it. There’s the blue plaque on the inside wall, the complete selection of Trooper beers and everything being Maiden themed. But if you’re not a fan, don’t let this intimidate you into not going.
I like Maiden, one of my best ever gigs was Maiden in Leeds ‘23 but I can’t say I’m a knowledgeable fan. However, this isn’t that type of place that tests your passion or loyalty. The staff are really welcoming, attentive, accommodating and friendly, and there’s a great vibe in there.
After a few pints in, thought it wise to get something from the menu, it’s a simple menu but good nonetheless. I actually prefer that a place keeps it simple as opposed to having too many options, but there’s enough choice to please everyone. It was a no-brainer to go for the Trooper Burger - double 4oz patty, double cheese, turkey bacon, onions and their signature sauce; and I upgraded to fries to Fries of the Beast which are mix cheese loaded fries topped with caramelised onions, chopped spring onions and juicy chunks of beef! Went down a treat!
I have definitely added this to my “Must Visit London Pubs” list and whether you’re a Maiden fan or not, it’s a great boozer. Not forgetting the underground music venue. So if live rock music is your thing, this is the perfect pub for that iconic nostalgia, let your hair metal down and have a great time.
