About This Pub

Ah, Camerons Brewery Tap – it's one of those places that really grows on you if you're into your brews. I have to say, the selection of beers is absolutely spot on; they've got this brilliant range that lets you dive into some proper local ales without any fuss. The staff are just lovely too, always ready with a smile and a bit of advice on what to try next, which makes the whole experience feel warm and personal. It's great for a laid-back evening, especially if you're after a quiet spot to chat or even catch a band playing – that adds a nice bit of excitement when it happens. On the flip side, though, it's a bit frustrating how they're only open a couple of days a week; you end up having to plan around it, which isn't ideal for a spontaneous pint. The decor's another thing – it's looking a wee bit tired, and the atmosphere doesn't always have that lively edge you'd hope for in a brewery tap. Still, if you're in Hartlepool and fancy a decent beer without the crowds, it's definitely worth checking out, as long as you time it right. All in all, it's got that honest, down-to-earth charm, but with a few tweaks, it could be even better.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic selection of beers that really hits the spot for any ale enthusiast
  • Friendly and helpful staff who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in
  • Relaxed and uncrowded vibe, ideal for a peaceful pint or catching up with mates
  • Occasional live music or events that add a fun twist and make for a memorable night
Cons
  • Limited opening hours, only a couple of days a week, which can be a real pain if you're planning a spontaneous visit
  • The decor feels a bit run-down and could do with a fresh coat of paint to liven things up
  • Atmosphere can be a tad lacking at times, missing that extra spark to make it buzzing

Great selection of beers and friendly helpful bar man. Now open on a Sunday afternoon. Great way to prepare for a nice lunch. Always friendly. Just wish it was open more often, especially since the demise of Hops & Cheese.

Beers are fabulous and also great selection.always quick to get served as never usually many in. Decor is abit run down and the atmosphere is pretty poor. Little bit of music and a lick of paint would go a long way in this place.Nice and quiet though if you want to keep away from the usual idiots roaming hartlepool in the cheap pubs

Great selection, not enough brain power to try them all in one night, gonna visit again, soon.
