About This Pub
Ah, Bunk in Wolverhampton – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a relaxed evening out with mates. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real highlight; those chicken wings are bang on, with folks raving about the flavours and combinations, and it's clear they've put thought into options for everyone, including veggies. The cocktails are another winner, with specials that keep things exciting and affordable, and the overall atmosphere is modern and welcoming, perfect for catching up over a drink or even before a gig. On the downside, not everything on the menu is a home run – like the hot dog, which one person found a bit underwhelming – and it's tricky to spot during the day, so you might only notice it when the lights come on at night. Plus, with closures midweek, it might not suit everyone's schedule, but overall, it's a solid choice if you're after good value and a cheerful spot to unwind. I'd say give it a go; it's got that charm that makes you want to come back for more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant, especially those chicken wings – they're a real standout and get loads of praise for being top-notch.
-
The staff are so friendly and welcoming, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly.
-
It's got a cracking atmosphere with a modern vibe that really brightens up the night in Wolverhampton.
-
The cocktails are spot on, with some great specials and deals that make it feel like a proper treat.
-
Prices are more than reasonable for the quality, and they've got good options for veggies and vegans, which is always a plus.
Cons
-
Some dishes, like the hot dog, are just okay – nothing special, so it might not wow you every time.
-
It's not very visible during the day, which means you could easily walk past it if you're not heading out in the evening.
-
They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is a bit of a shame if you're looking for a midweek spot.

Best chicken in Wolves. Found this place by chance and visited before a gig. Food was excellent, staff friendly and helpful and plenty seating available. Prices more than reasonable for the quality of food. A band was on downstairs and the atmosphere was nice. Would defo visit again.
Great atmosphere, modern vibe which really Wolverhampton lacks as a city in terms of its venues. Nice staff, good happy hour. Only real negative was - Hot dog was decent, not amazing but what you’d expect for the price.
Always looking for new places to eat and stumbled upon this place... I go past here often and I have never seen this place before in my life but supposedly they have been here since August 22.. you cannot see them in the day but at night it lights up the street.
Its very much a eat/drink before you club kinda place, that's the vibe I got. I went in there and felt quite old in comparison to the crowd and I'm in my mid 30s 😄.. it has a underground bar kind of vibe, dark off neon lighting. You order at the bar. There are a few booths and benches on the ground floor and more seating upstairs/downstairs. There are steps upon entry into the restuarant and there was no wheelchair access, we had a pushchair which the security guard very kindly helped us up the stairs with.
We ordered chicken wings, curly fries, fries and a double burger and onion rings. I has the maple and bourbon which was OK... it was nice ...I have had better bourbon based sauces but they were still enjoyable.. we also had the sweet chilli which were OK as well. They are all small flat wings, the wings could have been bigger, but I get it. The double burger was enjoyable lol, 2 chicken pattys with a hash brown filling.. no bread.. my kind of burger. The fries were good, Cooked well and crispy. The onion rings were good. At first I wanst really expecting much but the food turned out to be quite good. I would come again for a quick wing snack.
I didn't try the cocktails as I'm doing dry January. Will update if I go back.
It was what it said on the tin and more, so I can’t really knock a star off.
The staff were all a good laugh and engaging, the service was fast, and the cocktails were the right price and on point.
Good vegan and veggie options, they’re actually a part of the menu and not just a naff afterthought and the wings themselves were (apparently) delicious.
They should advertise their offers more. We didn’t realise until we ordered that 20 wings, 20 tofu, a side and two cocktails would come in at the £30 mark and were expecting to pay more.
The staff were friendly in their manner and still learning the ropes but did so in an enthusiastic manner. I am so glad these guys have opened in Wolverhampton now having tried Nottingham previously. Food was on point with its well renowned chicken and combination of sauces as well as it's cocktails. Happy hour until 10pm every day and they got a winner. I hope they do really well in Wolves! Highly recommended.
