About This Pub
Ah, the Britannia Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making everyone feel welcome, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. The decor is spot on, all warm and inviting, and they've got some cracking ales on tap that hit the spot nicely. Plus, the food portions are generous, and it's brilliant for families or if you're popping in with the dog – it's that kind of easy-going place. On the flip side, though, service can drag a bit when things get hectic, and I've heard a few grumbles about certain dishes not quite living up to expectations, like the lasagne being a bit heavy on the pasta and light on the filling. Still, with a solid 4.4 rating overall, it's clear most folks leave with a smile, so if you're in Rowley Regis, it's definitely worth a visit for a pint and a catch-up, just maybe plan for a bit of patience if it's busy.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with lovely decor that really adds to the charm of the place.
-
They've got a great selection of drinks, especially the ales, and the portions on the food are generous and satisfying.
-
It's super family-oriented, being child and dog friendly, which is perfect for a relaxed outing with loved ones.
-
The pub is clean throughout, including the facilities, and they offer some cracking deals like two meals for £10.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit slow at times, which might leave you waiting a tad longer than you'd like for your order.
-
Some dishes, like the lasagne, might not hit the mark with not enough meat and too many sheets, so it's worth checking the menu carefully.
-
The range of dark ales is a bit limited, which could disappoint if that's your go-to drink.
-
It can get busy, and staff might be caught up in chats, making it tricky to get noticed at the bar straight away.

Lovely place! Went for family party, good range of drinks although I wouldn't say no to a few more dark ales😉.
Nice decor and atmosphere and lovely bar staff to top it off, thanks ladies will return for sure.
Amazing decor, friendly staff and great ales. We visited this pub at part of the Blackheath ale tour. Wow. The interior decorations and styling are something else. Really, worth visiting for that alone! Bar staff were really friendly and delicious ales were on tap too! Highly recommend a visit!
Great pub, friendly staff and visitors. The food was lovely, we had chilli con carne. The menu looked quite extensive and yummy. We came to see a band perform, would like to come back and sit outside in the garden on the comfy looking sofas.
Food was nice but not enough meat in the lasagne and too many lasagne sheets in it I won't be ordering it again, took a while for staff to notice we was waiting at the bar as too busy talking
