I came to hitchin for another reason but was unable to attend so me and my girlfriend ended up walking around hitchin looking for nice places to eat and drink. We were instantly gravitated to Bridgetown monroe with their vibrant colours. There was a live singer that I felt held the authentic American routes well with the tunes he sang. The cocktails were actually better than I’ve ever tried in Hertfordshire and the bar staff homed me in and got about 3 more rounds out of me through pure charisma and good company. Great bar, great drinks and wonderful service from George. Will be back soon! P.s emma is the best member of staff xx
Had a great night at this bar—amazing service, super friendly staff, and a DJ who absolutely nailed the vibe. The atmosphere was energetic but relaxed, with music that kept things flowing perfectly. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
What a great place! Cocktails amazing, (even better when we were told it was 2 for 1!) When they realised it was my birthday I was also given a large free shot of a tequila! Really chilled vibe with great music and lovely staff. Can't wait to go back on a weekend night for DJ and dancing. Can't believe it has taken us this long to visit but will be returning ASAP.

We hired the whole bar for a birthday party. What a venue, guests walking in instantly felt ready to have fun. The Saturday night DJ rocks the whole place with great tunes that make everyone want to dance. The drinks are strong, we certainly felt the effects the next day! Woody and his team did everything they could to make us all feel welcome and have a brilliant party, chilled out, but helpful. A real family business feel (if you get meet Woody’s mom feel lucky) and a great independent venue on the Hitchin drinking scene. Highly recommend.
