About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about the Birmingham Brewing Company – it's one of those places that really warms you up with its passion for beer. I've heard from folks who've visited that the beers are just brilliant; they're all vegan and gluten-free, which is ace if you're watching what you eat or have mates with dietary preferences. The Brummie beers, like the Pale or the Stout, come highly recommended for their rich flavours and that satisfying brew quality. Then there's the tours – they're a proper highlight, with guides who know their stuff and keep things light-hearted, giving you a real insight into how they craft these tipples sustainably. It's clear from the buzz around it that people leave chuffed, especially after sampling a few. On the other hand, getting there can be a bit of a nuisance; the industrial estate setting means parking's not straightforward, and it might put off anyone needing easier access or popping by on a whim. Plus, with limited opening hours, it's not always easy to swing by. All in all, if you're up for a genuine craft beer adventure and don't mind a little effort to get there, it's well worth checking out for a relaxed chinwag over a pint with friends.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beers are absolutely cracking – they're vegan and gluten-free, making them accessible for everyone, and they've got a great variety like the Brummie range that's full of flavour.
  • The tours and taproom experiences are spot on; guides like Emily and Jack are knowledgeable and make it a fun, engaging chat about brewing, with chances to sample the brews.
  • It's got a welcoming vibe with friendly staff and even some food truck options for when you fancy a bite alongside your pint.
Cons
  • Parking can be a right faff, especially on Saturdays when the industrial estate gates close early, which might be a headache for those with accessibility needs.
  • They're only open a few days a week, so it might not fit into everyone's plans, and the location in an industrial estate isn't the most charming spot for a casual outing.

Recent Reviews

Parking was a challenge as the industrial estate is gated and only open until 1230 on a Saturday. It was easy to park nearby and walk up; but I am commenting on this for anyone reading in with accessibility needs. Our guide Emily was very pleasant, and knowledgeable despite being quite new to the company. The brewery is compact but she had plenty of information to impart, and she spoke clearly and was easy to hear. It's a shame that samples were not available to take away for those not drinking on the day, especially as the price was the same. We've been on several brewery/distillery tours and there is always an alternative for designated drivers (I was offered a soft drink but not quite the same). Maybe something to consider for future.

Recently visited Birmingham Brewery and we did the Brewery Tour. Excellent experience - Jack our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great insight in to the workings of the Brewery. Also a great opportunity to try the various beers. Definitely recommended.

We booked a brewary tour, and the tour guide Emily (?) was really friendly. Given that she had only been with the company for 6 weeks, she did a fantastic job! We used groupon vouchers to pay for the tour, it was half the price so good value for money. We were given 3 thirds of different beer (from pale to dark). Reading the previous reviews, it used to be 4 thirds so I guess it is cost of living and they had to reduce to make it sustainable.

Great place with tasty beers. Very nice service from the guys behind the counter. Locals are very polite, great chat. Recommended for tasting different types of beers. Some of them are really good. There is also some food truck with hot dogs and dries if you get peckish. Worth visiting.
