About This Pub
Ah, Behind The Wall – it's one of those places that just warms your heart the second you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you're looked after, whether you're popping in for a quick lunch or settling in for the evening. The food is a real highlight; folks rave about the tasty dishes with plenty of variety, and it's clear they've got something for most tastes, making it ideal if you're out with mates or family. The atmosphere in that beautiful building is spot on too – it's got a great buzz without being overwhelming, and the drinks selection is spot on for adding to the fun. On the flip side, do keep an eye on the opening times as they can fluctuate, especially on Sundays, and if you're not in the mood for Western-style eats, you might find the menu a bit limited. Overall, with a solid 4.2 rating from heaps of happy visitors, it's a gem in Falkirk that's worth checking out for a memorable night out, but maybe save it for when you're in the area and up for something a bit special rather than an everyday haunt.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
The food is absolutely delicious with loads of options to suit different tastes, from tasty small plates to hearty mains like beef Buddha bowls and mac cheese.
-
It's got a brilliant vibe and atmosphere in a beautiful building, perfect for groups or a casual get-together.
-
The drinks menu is fantastic, with must-try cocktails and refreshing things like raspberry lemonade that really hit the spot.
Cons
-
The hours can vary a bit, especially on Sundays, which might catch you out if you're planning a late visit.
-
It's more focused on Western and Tex-Mex style grub, so if you're after something totally different, it might not be your first choice.
-
With a moderate price level, it could feel a tad pricey for everyday outings, though it's worth it for the quality.

Lovely restaurant, staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and plenty of it. Loads of choice to suit different tastes. Would highly recommend and we'll be definitely returning when we're in the area again. Thank you!
What a lovely place! We were viaiting Falkirk today and decided to eat here based on the reviews. Even better than we imagined, food was delicious, had the beef Buddha bowl and Mac cheese. Staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Beautiful building and such a good vibe. Definitely need to go back. Thank you BTW!
We had a fantastic lunch made up of several of the small plates.
Lovely food. Great service .
Food is delicious and comes out looking great. The cocktails are a must try plus the raspberry lemonade was lush.
Thanks to the staff who waited on us as a table of 8. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It made for an enjoyable lunch.
Thank you!
~4.5/5 if I could. A great and accommodating western (Tex Mex + a few other options) restaurant with a huge drinks menu. I recommend sit in for large groups and will definitely go again if I am in the area.
Me and a group of 10 came walked in and they had a place (not busy at the time). We ordered a few starters and a variety of mains. Feedback was almost completely positive.
Starters were good. One friend complained the beef was a little dry on his skewers.
Their mac and cheese was among the best I had from restaurants. Very rich and cheesy without being overpowering, salty or pasty. The maple bacon on mine had a sweetness and smokiness that paired well.
Their fish and chips and fish loaded fries (the same except the size) were amazing. I am a sucker for good fries and these guys do it well. So crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Fish was crispy, tartar sauce was good wish they gave more.
Other items like pizza, loaded nachos, beef & haggis burger were all good with generous portions. A personal complaint is that their southern fried chicken lacked seasoning (though my Scot friend who ordered it greatly enjoyed, I suppose catering to the population in the area is actually a big plus).
Desserts were mostly good. I highly recommend the icky sticky (toffee pudding), chocolate brownie and cheesecake. Their caramel is genuine (not from a jar/bottle, probably made in house or just a really good buy) and amazing on the cheesecake. However, the salted caramel brownie barely had any, which was disappointing. It was still a good dessert, just not as good as the others and lacked what the name mentioned. Churros were also nice.
They accommodate dietary requirements well, however I am unsure if any of their meat is halal (they serve pork regardless). They have some gluten free and vegan options. We did not order any of the few international items on the menu (better stick to the main theme of the restaurant, we thought).
They have a huge drinks and whisky section, and hold whisky tastings. We did not try as we had Muslim friends at the table. However, I do recommend their restaurant for whisky enjoyers.
