BAR@Stockley in Uxbridge

Ah, BAR@Stockley at the Stockley Park Golf Club – it's one of those places that has its charms but isn't without a few hiccups, if you ask me. On the bright side, I reckon it's a gem for a hearty breakfast; the prices are spot on and it's as good as anything you'd find nearby, all while soaking in those peaceful green views and feeling looked after by the friendly staff. They've got a knack for handling events too, like sorting out buffets for big groups, which really adds to the appeal if you're after a relaxed spot for a gathering. But, crikey, there are a couple of downsides that might put you off – like that odd policy on not using the power sockets, where you're forced to hire a powerbank and it's delivered with a bit of a sharp tone, which left a sour taste. Then there's the bar itself, which feels a tad unwelcoming with its uncomfortable seats and layout that doesn't quite flow right; it's not the cosiest for a proper chat over a pint. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area for the scenery and decent nosh, but I'd say go in with your eyes open and maybe plan around those quirks to keep things enjoyable.
