About This Pub

Ah, the Barn Owl really stands out as a welcoming pub in Worcester, doesn't it? From the reviews, it seems like they've nailed the food side of things – think hearty portions of yummy grills, pizzas, and even lighter bites that are quick, filling, and full of flavour, all at prices that won't break the bank, especially with those tempting 30% off mains deals. The staff come across as genuinely friendly and helpful, and having table service back adds a nice touch, making it easier to kick back and enjoy your time. That beer garden is a highlight too, a great spot for soaking up the sun with a cold one, and it's brilliant that they welcome dogs, so you can pop in with your four-legged pal. On the flip side, a couple of folks have mentioned the service feeling a tad too speedy at times, which might leave you scrambling to decide on drinks. And just a heads-up, it's listed as closed right now, so best to double-check before you plan a visit. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, with more positives than negatives based on what people are saying – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area.

The place is great again, though we’ve never had a problem with the food, it’s always yummy. We now have table service back though! It makes for a great meal to have your own waiter/waitress.

We regularly go to the barn owl and we always have a nice meal. We were very pleased that table service was back and hopefully this carries on. Food was great; tasty, quick and filling. Service was great as usual and it's great value for money. We always recommend the barn owl and will definitely be back there soon.

Great experience as always. Portions sizes are fantastic, service always fast and staff very friendly and happy to help. Fully recommend adding the half rack of ribs to your order. Top tier :) Thanks again! Often come just for drinks in the beer garden with friends too and that's always a blast.

We stopped here on our way to north Wales. We arrived an hour earlier than our booking which wasn't an issue as they were not very busy. The food was delicious and arrived promptly, the staff was friendly and brought dog treats for our four legged fur baby. Was so good we booked for the return journey the following Saturday.

Extremely fast service, we were quickly seated, and when we were seated, we were immediately asked what drinks we would like, I wish we had more time to look as we didn't even know what drinks were available then. The immediate reception into getting us our drinks just moments after we ordered them is commended, however the demand to immediately order food after receiving them was alarming given we weren't even given substantial menus! Nothing to complain about for the wait for our food, although there is stuff to say about the food itself. One of our party was missing over 1/4 of her meal, which was on the menu, and not an add on. The part of the missing meal later arrived on a separate plate. (Gammon steak was missing the egg and pineapple) I asked for an upgrade for having extra cheese on my burger, however, our waiter must have misheard, as I then got brought out mozzarella bites separately, and instead of being charged an extra 79p, we were charged £5.79. And I also had bacon on my burger i ordered, but it was extremely dehydrated. And to no exagguration, looked like cardboard. Another member of our party, originally ordered turkey, however, they were out of stock, so it was switched to chicken, but the chicken was apparently very dry, and it lacked a lot of red cabbage, which was promised on the menu. Our party also felt that our waiter was not very welcoming, and that he wanted our table to be out of the way, and it did not feel very inviting. It felt like he was annoyed to serve us. And when we recieved the bill, we were shocked to discover that our colas were over £4 for a pint, which we would have avoided ordering if we had recieved that knowledge earlier. To be honest, you get what you pay for, and charged a little extra.
