About This Pub
Ah, Barley Barn – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away by the canal in Rugby. I have to say, the team there are absolute stars; they're so approachable and really put in the effort for events, whether it's a birthday bash or something more poignant like a funeral gathering. The food's a highlight too – everything's sourced locally and whipped up fresh, so you get that homely, satisfying vibe with options for all tastes. And let's not forget the setting; sipping a pint while watching the canal boats drift by is just lovely, especially if you're after a relaxed catch-up with mates. They've got plenty of space to choose from, like the snug bar or even rooms to stay in, which makes it versatile for a quick drink or a full day out. On the downside, though, the place does look a tad worn out in places – it could use a bit of TLC to bring it up to scratch. Plus, parking's a bit of a faff when things get busy, and traipsing outside for a top-up isn't ideal on a chilly evening. All in all, it's a solid spot for good times and decent value, but it'd be even better with a few tweaks to sort out those rough edges. If you're in the area, I'd give it a go – you might just end up making it your regular haunt!

It's a bit inconvenient having to head outside to another building for drinks, which disrupts the flow a little.

We attended a function here. The staff were helpful without being overbearing. The parking adjacent is adequate, but can be a bit tight when functions change over. Overall, it was a nice function room with some versatile spaces.
Went to a baby shower...food was supplied by family. The only reason for the It's OK is because it's a bit tired...needs a spruce up but it was clean. Wasn't keen on having to go outside to another building to get drinks. The car park also needs sorting out...could be a fantastic venue if given a spruce up!
Kelly, Paula, Rich and the team at Barley Barn are fantastic. I organised my mum's funeral and I was looking for a venue that was both convenient (with a bar!) and a nice size for around 40 people.
The team was friendly, relaxed and attentive. They went above and beyond for us to ensure everything went smoothly and that the guests were all well looked after. This meant that my brothers and I were able to focus on the day to celebrate our mum.
Very friendly landlord, good food and pleasant plot watching the canal boats going by. Highly recommend this place.
Absolutely fantastic Kelly and staff did an amazing job for my daughters 21st bday. Sam Letts the DJ was brilliant too. We had such a good night.
