About This Pub

You know, when I popped into Bank Wolverhampton, I have to say it really won me over with its brilliant food – Chef Lorenzo's creations are something else, with folks going on about how delicious everything is, from the prawns to the jerk chicken. The staff are an absolute delight, always ready with a smile and even a freebie like Prosecco for special occasions, which just makes you feel looked after. The decor is gorgeous too, all opulent and cosy with that soft jazz in the background, ideal for a laid-back night or catching up with mates. On the other hand, it's a bit of a letdown that the place can be so chilly, even when you're there early or late, and waiting for service can drag on because they're a bit short-staffed. Still, with a solid 4.0 rating overall, it's got that mix of highs and lows that makes it worth checking out if you're in Wolverhampton – just wrap up warm and keep your expectations in check for the service!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot-on, especially Chef Lorenzo's dishes – people are raving about the jerk chicken and prawns, making it a real treat for a meal out
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, with stories of them going the extra mile, like giving away a free bottle of Prosecco for a birthday
  • The atmosphere is just lovely, with beautiful decor and soft jazz playing in the background, perfect for a relaxed evening or even a family get-together
  • It's open all hours, seven days a week, which is brilliant if you're after a spot that's always available, whether for a quick drink or a business lunch
  • The venue has a warm, opulent feel that adds a touch of class, making it feel special for any occasion
Cons
  • The place can get really cold, even in the mornings and evenings, which might put a dampener on your visit despite their claims about the heating
  • Service tends to be a bit slow because there's often just one person trying to handle everything, which can make for a frustrating wait
  • There are mixed experiences with some menu items, like attempts at Caribbean food not quite hitting the mark for everyone

Absolutely sensational bar. Hospitality was amazing. Gave us a free bottle of Prosecco for my friends birthday. Lorenzo the chef is hilarious and his food was fantastic too

I have been to this place first thing in the morning and evening, on both occasions the place is horrifically cold. They claim the heating is but takes a while for place to eat up. Always seems to be one member of staff to do everything so service is slow. Made two attempts to try the Caribbean food ie breakfast & evening as they're always promoting on social media..however either the chef was not in or was a limited menu even on a Caribbean restaurant. They make the pics on fb look good warm & busy..sorry not the case when I've been. Disappointed ..they need to address the heating as you don't feel comfortable. We did have food beef & chicken burgers. One with normal fries the other chunky chips. Both tasted good and filling. Sorry won't be returning back in a hurry

WOW ❤️👌 Visited last night as a family of 4. Food, venue, drinks absolutely everything was divine!! Lorenzo is remarkable, my Son had the Crevette prawns and he said it is the best meal he's ever had in his life.

Our first time visiting Bank Wolverhampton and it won't be the last! The building is beautiful, the music playing was soft jazz which added to the ambience. Chef Lonrenzo was very warm and welcoming telling us about the menu. We decided on the jerk chicken which we thoroughly enjoyed. Morgan attended to us with a pitcher of rum punch which went down very well. The service was outstanding as well as the food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

Bank a venue of wonderment and excitement. Explosion of spices to the palate. A opulent decor with abundance of generous waiting staff. A place to have business lunch or dinner, to extend your class range. Well done from Festival oF Faith Ltd.
