About This Pub
Ah, the Baltic Fleet – what a gem of a pub it is, tucked away in Burnley. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's one of those places where the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, like they're old mates rather than just serving you a drink. I love how they've got the sports on, with multiple screens for things like rugby and football, so it's ideal if you're up for cheering on your team with a cold beer in hand. The prices are spot on too, nothing that'll break the bank, and that outdoor garden is a nice touch for when the weather's playing ball. It's got a proper community spirit, with events like bands and discos that turn it into a lively hub, and folks seem to rave about the owners, Paul and Jenny, for creating such a homely atmosphere. On the flip side, it's a shame there's not much online info, so you might have to just pop in and discover it for yourself, and if you're not in the area, it could feel a tad out of the way. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out – I'd say give it a go if you're after good company and a no-fuss pint; you might just find your new local haunt.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices, like that crisp Madri lager for around £6.70 – perfect for a casual catch-up.
-
It's a brilliant spot for watching sports, with multiple screens showing events like the Rugby 6 Nations and FA Cup, so you won't miss a thing.
-
The outdoor garden area is a lovely bonus, especially on a nice day, adding a bit of fresh air to your pint.
-
There's a real community vibe with events like bands, discos, and even gatherings for big matches, turning it into more than just a pub.
Cons
-
It doesn't have much of an online presence, like no website, which might make it a bit tricky to find out more before you visit.
-
Being in Burnley, it might not be the most central location for everyone, so it could take a bit of effort to get to if you're not local.
