You know, when I popped into Bakers Vaults, it really hit the spot as a proper traditional pub in the heart of Stockport – think award-winning Robinsons beers on tap and that quirky jukebox adding a bit of character. The atmosphere is spot on, especially with live music in the evenings; it's one of those places where you can settle in for a good chat or get swept up in the entertainment. I loved the outdoor seating for a cheeky pint on a nice day, and it's great that it's dog-friendly and accessible for everyone, making it feel inclusive. On the food front, they've got some veggie options and it's family-oriented, which is a nice touch. But, to be fair, there were a couple of stories about staff not being as welcoming as they could be – like that one off-putting experience someone had – which is a pity because it could sour an otherwise brilliant visit. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.4, most folks seem to have a whale of a time, so I'd say it's worth checking out if you're in the area, just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a top evening.
