About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Arden Arms, it just brings a smile to my face – it's one of those timeless pubs in Stockport that feels like a proper hidden gem from the old coaching inn days. The atmosphere is spot on, with its Grade II listed building, cosy nooks, and those inviting fires that make you want to settle in for the afternoon. They've got an excellent range of Robinsons ales that are always spot on, and the home-cooked food is just what you'd hope for in a traditional spot – hearty, flavoursome dishes that leave you satisfied without emptying your wallet. The team behind the bar are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the welcoming vibe. On top of that, the live music and quizzes give it a bit of extra buzz, and it's great that it's so accessible for everyone, whether you're with the family or your furry companion. But, to be fair, it's not without its quirks; the food isn't served during that afternoon lull, so you'll have to plan around that if you're popping in for lunch or dinner. All in all, it's a brilliant choice for anyone wanting a taste of authentic pub life in Stockport – I'd say give it a go and see why it's such a favourite around here.

Live open air music Saturday nights. Great pub, fast service lovely Guinness. Well worth a visit.
A proper local pub. No frills but everything done as it should be. And the little snug behind the bar is a special spot.
Had visited over 5 years ago for food (excellent), and for drinks only 2 months ago (they don't serve food between 2 and 4.30).
This time 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our range of mains & deserts. Service was great, the Dizzy Blonde fantastic, and didn't break the bank.
Won't leave it as long next time.
Faultless. Astonishing old style pub with separate areas and fires blazing in their grates against a grey, wet and miserable afternoon.
Beautiful Robinson's ales and it's thanks to them I visited this afternoon.
We were very impressed with the food, the staff was lovely and attentive and the music played at that time was taking us back in time! And the toilets were clean and smelling nice. What more can you ask for! Thank you!
