About This Pub
You know, when I think about Annie's Freehouse, it's got that classic pub charm that's just so inviting – imagine popping in for a pint and being greeted by a bunch of friendly faces, with a decent Guinness at a fair price and a relaxed setup with music and outdoor seating. It's one of those spots where you can settle in and enjoy the atmosphere without any fuss, and the clean facilities make it even better for a proper night out. That said, I have to be straight with you; there was this one review that mentioned feeling discriminated against, which is a real shame and something that might put a dampener on things. Overall, though, with a solid 4.5 rating from folks who've had a great time, it's probably worth giving it a go if you're in the area, just keep an eye out for how things are on the day.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely charming and welcoming, with friendly locals that make you feel right at home – it's like stepping into a cosy Irish haven.
-
Prices are spot on and reasonable, especially for a pint of Guinness, which comes highly recommended and won't break the bank.
-
It's got a proper traditional pub vibe with great seating options, a nice outside space for when the weather's good, and even some music to keep things lively.
-
The place feels relaxed and happy, with clean facilities that add to the overall comfort – perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Cons
-
There was an unfortunate incident reported where someone felt discriminated against and turned away, which is really disappointing and casts a shadow on the experience.
-
It seems like the service might not be consistent for everyone, based on that negative feedback, so it could vary depending on your visit.

This pub is a shop conversion that has had a few names over the years including Inkies and Gertie Brownes. Since 2020 the pub has operated as Annie’s Freehouse.
This is small one bar pub that is traditionally decorated. The servery is located at the back left with a few stools to perch on around it. There is a good amount of seating with a couple of cosy corners either side of the entrance. Around the walls are a number of retro signs and Irish memorabilia as well as a few Tv’s which show live sport. Oh and not forgetting the proper pub carpet.
The beer line up was all keg and consisted of familiar well known brands. As this is an Irish pub, I decided on a pint of Guinness, my pint was superb, price point was very reasonable at under a fiver. There is no food served but there are plenty of crisps and nuts.
I arrived just after 1pm with my Son and a couple of mates on our way to watch Saracens play rugby up the road. The pub was fairly busy with a few different groups dotted around the pub. The Spurs v Newcastle game was on which had the whole pub engaged, plus the horse racing was showing on another Tv if you fancied a tickle. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed which made settling in very easy. The service was great, the Lady who served us was friendly, chatty and personable, also she brought our Guinness over to our table which was a nice touch.
The pub shows all live sport and hosts live music nights.
On my quest to visit every pub in London, it is very rare I stay for a second pint, but I did here. If it wasn’t for the fact we were off to the rugby we would have probably stayed in here all afternoon. I am not surprised the @pubsessions boys awarded this pub their pub of the year, I can 100% see why.. This is a fantastic local pub which is a great place to spend time in. The beer is reasonably priced, the service made you feel at home and the locals are friendly, loved it here, get @anniesfinchley on your list.
