About This Pub

Oh, the Albion's a proper gem in Rainham, isn't it? It's one of those pubs where you can settle in with a pint and soak up the lively buzz, especially if you're there for the big sports events like the Women's Euros or rugby matches – the screens are top-notch, and the atmosphere gets you right in the spirit. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a friendly chat and efficient service that makes you feel looked after, and the food's a real treat too, with hearty, wallet-friendly options that go down a storm. It's brilliantly set up for families, what with the beer garden and play area letting the kids run about while you unwind. But, fair play, it's not all roses – that parking situation can be a bit of a headache; a few have mentioned getting fines because it's not immediately obvious you need to register your car, which is a shame as it can sour an otherwise lovely visit. Still, if you plan ahead and keep an eye on the details, it's a smashing spot for a casual catch-up or a relaxed evening out. All in all, I'd say it's worth popping in for the good times, just go in with your wits about you.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and go the extra mile to make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
  • It's got a brilliant atmosphere, especially for watching live sports or enjoying a family day out with that lovely beer garden and play area for the little ones.
  • The food is spot on – tasty, affordable dishes that really hit the spot, perfect for a relaxed meal without breaking the bank.
  • Family-friendly vibes all round, with plenty of space and amenities that make it easy to bring the kids along for a fun outing.
Cons
  • Parking can be a right nuisance, with fines popping up if you forget to register your car – it's not always clear, so it might put a dampener on your visit.
  • Some service bits could do with a bit more attention, like not always pointing out the parking rules upfront, which has left a few folks feeling a bit miffed.
  • The overall experience might feel inconsistent at times, depending on how busy it is, so it's worth checking ahead for a smoother trip.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat in my lunch break and today come home to £100 parking ticket, nobody told us that we needed to register my car as I would of obviously done so, so very disappointed that my lunch has now cost a lot more than I bargained for, tried calling but always goes to answer phone. I have left a message can someone kindly call me back please. Apart from this food always great, parked loads of times and never had a ticket, website does not state parking restrictions either.

We visited the Albion for the first time to specify watch the football & we’re pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome by the staff & atmosphere of the pub. The multi screens were great and the bar staff especially Chelsea went the extra mile for top quality service. She was both professional and service with a smile .. a great barmaid ! She recommended the meat platter which was so delicious and well cooked. The karaoke was an added bonus with songs that we knew & sang along too. The football atmosphere was enthralling and we felt very much included in the pub atmosphere. We loved it so much that we returned the following night & to our surprise they were airing the IPL cricket .. a real delight and of course our favourite barmaid Chelsea served us again. Her service was impeccable and the whole team were just top quality. Food was just delicious with so much choice. This pub has such a warm atmosphere, with a wide choice of food options and drinks as well as both live sports action & karaoke. Plus conveniently located with ample parking. Highly recommended!

Received a £100 fine for parking yesterday. I have paid it so only have to pay the £60 but it was not obvious you had to put your registration in when entering the pub and none of the staff asked if we had done this to avoid getting a fine so not the best to be honest. Also when we visited there was a man singing throughout our meal making it hard to have a conversation as the speaker was extremely loud. Food was amazing though and really good price

Really nice chilled atmosphere and family orientated! Affordable dishes and the food is really tasty, especially the slow cooked beef roast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sam was super helpful and polite, she even brought me my sunglasses that I accidentally left on the table!

Blooming fantastic. Haven't been to the Albion for a few years. Definitely a family friendly wonderful atmosphere. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and welcomes from all staff. Food was superb and delivered promptly to the table. And the amazing young lady singing live was a beautiful bonus for a brilliant Mother's Day lunch. You can definitely see excellent management and care for customers which has cascaded down to all of the team. We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much. 🙂
