About This Pub

Ah, Wayfarers Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Kettering. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its lively atmosphere, where live music adds that extra spark to your evening. The drinks are spot on, with pints at a fair price that won't leave you feeling short-changed, and the food? Well, it's a standout – especially their Sunday lunches and that homemade cheesecake, which folks rave about as being absolutely scrumptious and plentiful. The staff are a delight, always cheerful and ready to lend a hand, and it's brilliant how they've made it so family-oriented with a nice outdoor space and even a play area for the little ones, plus it's pet-friendly too. Oh, and don't forget the big beer garden and free parking, which make popping in even easier. But let's keep it real, it's not flawless – service can drag a bit when they're rushed, so you might have to be patient on busier nights. All in all, if you're after a solid spot for a catch-up with friends, some decent nosh, and a relaxed vibe, I'd say give Wayfarers Inn a go; it's got that warm, community feel that makes you want to return.

This has become our regular Friday night spot to meet up with friends. The pints are reasonably priced (mid-range), and while we haven't sampled the food ourselves, the atmosphere is consistently good. They often have live music playing, which adds a nice buzz. A real plus is the excellent outside area – it's well set up with heaters, comfy sofas, and even has a play area tucked away round the back. Great for drinks and catching up.

The Wayfarers, Kettering: Sunday Lunch So Good You’ll Cancel All Future Plans 🍽️🍻 Some pubs serve food, and some deliver a Sunday lunch so perfect that you briefly consider moving in. The Wayfarers in Kettering falls into the latter category. After a recent visit with friends and family, we can safely say that if you’re not spending your Sundays here, you’re doing weekends wrong. The Atmosphere: Cosy, Welcoming & Perfectly British 🍺🔥 From the moment we walked in, The Wayfarers felt like home—but with better food and fewer washing-up duties. The staff are fantastic, the decor is charming without trying too hard, and there’s a proper, old-school pub warmth that makes you want to settle in for the long haul. The kind of place where you arrive for lunch and suddenly it’s dinner time, and you’re mysteriously still there. The Food: Sunday Roast Perfection 🥩🍗 Let’s get to the main event—the roast dinner. We’re talking about plates so beautifully stacked with meat, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire puddings that you consider taking a photo but are too hungry to wait. The portions are generous, the gravy is rich and plentiful (as it should be), and the veg is cooked just right—none of that sad, over-boiled nonsense here. • The beef? Cooked to perfection—not so tough you need power tools to cut it, not so rare that it’s still mooing. • The chicken? Juicy, well-seasoned, and absolutely not just an excuse to eat more stuffing (but let’s be honest, the stuffing was incredible). • The roast potatoes? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and so good you’d happily eat a whole plate of just them. • Yorkshire puddings? Absolute clouds of golden perfection, holding onto gravy like their life depends on it. And if, somehow, you still have room after all that, the desserts are dangerously good. Sticky toffee pudding? Yes. Apple crumble? Essential. At this point, we’d gone way past full but powered on out of sheer respect for how good everything was. The Service: Friendly, Efficient & Always Up for a Chat 👏 The staff here strike that perfect balance between attentive and relaxed—they’re there when you need them but never hovering awkwardly. Drinks were promptly refilled, requests were met with a smile, and they didn’t judge us when we briefly debated ordering an extra portion of roast potatoes “for the table.” The Verdict: The Only Place You Need for Sunday Lunch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re in Kettering and haven’t had Sunday lunch at The Wayfarers yet, fix that immediately. It’s everything you want from a proper British pub roast—huge portions, amazing flavour, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more pint.” Five stars—plus an extra one for the Yorkshire puddings, because they deserve their own award.

The food in the Wayfarers Inn was much better than I was expecting. It was all delicious and plentiful. There was one bloke behind the bar and he was very overworked, so service was a little slow, but he was very friendly nonetheless. There's a big beer garden and free off street parking too...
