About This Pub
Ah, The Warren – it's one of those reliable pubs you can count on for a straightforward, enjoyable time without any fuss. I've got to say, what really stands out is how they serve up epic food at prices that won't break the bank; think classic roasts and breakfasts that are tasty and filling, especially with those weekday deals that let you tuck into a proper meal for just a tenner. It's spot on for families too, with handy facilities like outdoor play spaces and good parking, plus it's a fun spot to catch live sports in a lively atmosphere. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few mates mention that the grub doesn't always live up to the glossy website pics, and there have been times when they've run out of favourites or had to chase staff for simple things like knives and forks, which can put a dampener on things. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual bite or a relaxed drink, but if you're after something flawless, you might want to keep your expectations in check and perhaps check in advance for busy days.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is brilliant value for money, with generous portions of classic comfort dishes that really hit the spot.
-
It's a lovely family-friendly spot with great amenities like outdoor play areas, plenty of parking, and even EV charging, making it easy to pop in for a relaxed meal.
-
The staff are generally welcoming and efficient, adding to that warm, homely feel that's perfect for casual get-togethers or watching live sports like the Euros.
-
With deals like 'Tuck in for a tenner' on weekdays, it's an affordable option for enjoying a good feed without worrying about the bill.
Cons
-
Occasionally, the food doesn't quite match up to the enticing pictures on the website, and they might run out of popular items like the Sunday roast, which can be a bit disappointing.
-
Service can be inconsistent at times, with some experiences involving multiple requests for basics like cutlery, leading to meals going cold.
-
While the overall vibe is decent, the 3.8 rating suggests it's not always hitting top form, so you might have mixed luck depending on when you visit.

I can honestly say we won't be going back again. The food on the website looks fantastic compared to what we finally got and we had to ask 3 times for knives and forks etc whilst watching our food going cold.
We booked in advance arrived exactly on time and basically they had run out of Sunday roasts and told to pick something else how can it be allowed to run out of roast dinners on a Sunday particularly as it was only 5.30pm and supposed to served all day? Thats really bad management!
The table and menus were sticky but We looked again at the menu thinking make the best of it whilst we did get what we ordered however i wished we just left and gone elsewere. The jerk chicken was very dry as I think it must have under a heat lamp for hours, the southern fried chicken in my sons burger he refused to eat it after 1 bite because the chicken had bad after taste, my wife tried the chicken and agreed with him and told him not to eat anymore of it and he could not have had more than 10 chips. I had the steak pie that was nice but the tiny amount mash and the few peas I was given was a joke. If you want a Sunday roast goto the trading post they never run out of food there.
Great pub with a lively, family-friendly atmosphere. The menu is packed with classic comfort food at great prices—generous portions too! Staff are welcoming and service is usually quick, even when it’s busy. Ideal for casual meals, drinks, or a Sunday roast. Plenty of parking outside and good seating options inside and out. It’s a go-to spot if you're after a relaxed pub vibe in Kettering.
Had a really lovely roast beef dinner.. served really quickly, cannot fault the meal for the price. Roast beef was lovely & tender 👌🏼
We will be back soon. Thank you to all the lovely staff
Me and my daughter called for a drink today 14/4/2025 round about 3pm the member of staff that served us the first time was absolutely amazing, we ordered a rhubarb and ginger gin with ginger ale, and a Madri.
I took the glasses we had used to order another drink each at this time the lady Manager served me, I ordered the same drinks, she served the gin in the same glass with the same straws and no ice and also the same slice off lemon, never smiled or said thank you, I was quite shocked at this as I expected the same service as her bar staff.
Ordered 2 breakfasts, which were one of the best we’ve had for a long time. Staff friendly too, with a relaxed atmosphere, made the stay enjoyable. Well done chef X
