About This Pub

Ah, Valley Farm – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a breath of fresh air, especially if you're after a solid meal without the fuss. I've got to say, the carvery is a real winner; imagine tucking into perfectly cooked roasts with all the trimmings, and don't even get me started on those desserts – the brownies and fudge cakes are divine and come in portions big enough to share, which is brilliant for groups. It's got that family-friendly charm down pat, with indoor play for the kids and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The staff are absolute gems, always polite and on point, and at these prices, it's a no-brainer for a budget-friendly night out. On the flip side, I did notice that some of the veggie options, like the cheese and potato pie, can have a rather thick pastry that might not suit everyone's taste – it's hearty, but perhaps a bit too much for those wanting something lighter. Plus, being out in the Team Valley Trading Estate, it might not be the most central spot, so it's worth planning your trip if you're coming from further afield. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good feed and a chat with mates, and I'd definitely pop back for more of those treats.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, with the carvery and desserts stealing the show – think massive portions of roast dinners and gooey brownies that are perfect for sharing.
  • It's a real family-friendly spot, with indoor play areas and activities for the little ones, making it ideal for a relaxed outing with kids.
  • The staff are lovely and efficient, always ready with a smile and quick service to make your visit smooth and enjoyable.
  • Great value for money as it's inexpensive, so you can enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank.
  • Plenty of handy facilities like a car park, WiFi, and disabled access, which make popping in easy and comfortable.
Cons
  • A couple of dishes might not hit the mark for everyone, like the pastry on the vegetarian options being a bit too thick and heavy.
  • It's tucked away in a trading estate, which could feel a tad out of the way if you're not local, though it's handy for a quick stop.

One of mate introduced us to the Valley farm desert. Since then, we have been visiting them every week for deserts. Their Brownie and Fudge cakes are top-notch.🍰🍮 The portion sizes are massive for one. So always recommend sharing. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 They even offer takeaway boxes if you are not able to finish them. Nice and friendly staff. 😊 They have plenty of space and larger tables for family dining and plenty of parking. 🚗 I tried their Carvery once, and I like the Toby's a lot, so only deserts from Valley Farm 🍦😋

We came for the carvers, it was very delicious and decent size for me. Diane was one very nice lady who served us. We ordered the warm and gooey choco brownie which has been my favourite since the first time I tried. One of the best in town!

We had an amazing Sunday carvery experience! The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, full of flavor. Pav was a fantastic carver, super friendly and generous with portions. It was also great to see activities available for the kids, the atmosphere is really family-friendly. We went on Easter Sunday, and all the children were given big Cadbury eggs, such a lovely and thoughtful touch. Highly recommend😊

The food was excellent we all went for the carvery loads to choose from, pudding to die for. Plenty of room the tables aren't all squashed in, staff very efficient and polite and well priced. Definitely recommend. We'll be back.

Went here for the carvery on a Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a massive fan of carveries, so my expectations were low, but the veg and potato options were all very nice. I went for the vegetarian cheese and potato pie option - unfortunately the pastry was extremely thick for my liking, but the filling was flavoursome. My partner had meat and said it was pretty good. Staff were friendly and the pub was busy, so I'm glad we booked in advance.
