About This Pub

Ah, the Turing Key – it's one of those pubs that just feels right from the get-go, tucked away in Bletchley and not far from places like Gulliver's Land. I've got to say, the vibe is spot-on; it's modern, clean, and welcoming, whether you're popping in for a quick lunch or settling in for the evening. The staff are an absolute highlight – think helpful and chatty servers who check in just enough to make you feel looked after without hovering. The food's a winner too; their roasts on Sundays are proper comforting, and things like the fish and chips or steak come out just as you'd hope, with some nice deals to boot that make it great value. That beer garden is a gem for whiling away an afternoon with a pint and good company, and it's family-friendly with a little play area for the kids. On the flip side, it's a shame if you're after something specific on the menu and it's not in stock – happens now and then, so you might need to have a backup plan. All in all, it's a solid spot for enjoying a pint and a bite, with that warm, homely touch that keeps you coming back for more, but just keep those menu expectations in check for the full experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The service is absolutely spot-on, with friendly staff like Claire going the extra mile to make sure everything's just right – it's like chatting with a mate behind the bar.
  • The food is a real treat, from tangy tomato soup and perfectly cooked steak to delicious roasts on Sundays; it's all about those classic pub dishes done with a bit of flair.
  • It's got a lovely modern and clean feel inside and out, making it a welcoming spot for a relaxed lunch or evening catch-up.
  • The beer garden is brilliant for soaking up the sun with friends and family, especially on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
  • They've got some cracking deals, like 30% off mains, and it's pet-friendly too, so you can bring your furry companion along for the fun.
Cons
  • Sometimes not everything on the menu is available, which can be a tad frustrating if you're set on a particular dish.
  • It might get a bit quiet or feel understaffed at times, though the team handles it well overall.

I met with a friend for lunch and was very impressed with the look of the pub both inside and outside. Very modern and clean. Claire our server was very helpful and asked us if all was well, we went on a Wednesday lunchtime. The tomato soup was lovely, tangy and light and the steak nicely done. Lots of parking. Would definitely come again.

The fish and chips were delicious, beautifully cooked and served hot. A special mention goes to Claire, who was welcoming, helpful, polite and friendly. Our drinks arrived quickly while we were choosing from the menu, so well done bar staff too. We will definitely be returning to the Turing Key. Well done and thank you for the great food and service.

Excellent service from Claire on Thursday lunchtime. Efficient, friendly, and when I commented (to myself, I thought) that I needed a cushion to get my chin off the table, she was right there at my elbow in seconds with said cushion. Also suggested we get a bottle of wine and take home any leftovers - better value than individual glasses (reader, there weren’t any). The Best Ever pies were very good too. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Brilliant service, just missed 5 ⭐️ as not everything on the menu available. Service from Claire was excellent who managed very well on her own for a while. Food was lovely and toilets very clean. Small outside area was clean & tidy with small children’s play area. Plenty of free parking. Would definitely visit again.
