About This Pub
Oh, what a gem TOWN+HOUSE is! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just makes you want to linger a bit longer with its cosy sofas, mustard yellow bar, and that homey dining space that's perfect for tucking into a stellar Sunday roast or playing a round of board games. The food's a real highlight – think melt-in-your-mouth porchetta and inventive cocktails that leave you impressed – and the team behind the bar are always up for a chat, making it feel like your new local haunt. It's buzzing with events too, whether it's a pub quiz that gets everyone involved or live music that adds to the atmosphere, so there's always something on to keep things fresh. On the flip side, though, service can be a smidge slow on busier days, and I've heard a few grumbles about things not being cooked to perfection every time, but honestly, that's a minor quibble in an otherwise brilliant setup. If you're in Bath and fancy a spot that's equal parts relaxed and lively, I'd definitely recommend popping in – it's got that perfect balance of being a proper pub while feeling a cut above the rest.
Pros and Cons

The food is absolutely spot on, especially those Sunday roasts and burgers – they really hit the mark for a hearty, delicious meal.
-
The staff are so friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a lovely, welcoming vibe with a modern twist on a traditional pub, perfect for catching up with mates or enjoying a quiet drink.
-
They've got a great selection of drinks, from unique cocktails to wines, and even options for non-drinkers.
-
Loads of fun events like quiz nights, live music, and creative workshops keep things lively and give you plenty of reasons to return.
Cons
-
Food can sometimes take a bit longer to arrive than you'd hope, which might leave you a tad peckish while waiting.
-
Occasionally, dishes might not be cooked quite right, like underdone fries, so it's worth double-checking if you're fussy about that.
-
Some areas are strictly for over 18s, which could limit things if you're planning a family outing.

What a delight! We had the Sunday lunch roast. We both chose the porchetta and every aspect of the meal was perfection. Great wine recommendations - and imaginative options for non-drinkers. Delicious bread and marvellous olives too. They are spot on to keep their menu, but exquisite. We had a long drive to get there - definitely worth it. Sorry no pictures - too busy eating!
We visited for a Sunday roast before Christmas, it was decorated so beautifully on the outside and in!! We were given a Christmas cracker at the table and the staff were so tentative and friendly! The roast itself was delicious!! The Porchetta melted in your mouth and had a sage stuffing running through it, and the beef was cooked to perfection! Definitely up there with one of the best roasts we’ve had!
This place was fantastic, we happened upon it when we were away for birthday and wedding anniversary celebrations, everything about it was perfect, the atmosphere was welcoming and cosy, I had one of the best burgers of my life, and the staff were fantastic. It's not often you find restaurants these days that have just got it right. Town+House have! We are only based in Bristol so can't wait to come back again! Thank you to the manager and her staff for making it such a lovely experience.
A nice, modern cozy pub with a real local (yet welcoming) vibe. I got chatting to some people who lived nearby and it seems to be a very popular watering hole and I can see why.
Had a great time but removed a star as the fries were slightly underdone and the food ended up taking quite a while to arrive. Wasn’t a big problem but just want to be honest. I had the falafel burger special which was tasty and £15 for a burger and fries is honestly pretty fair in this economy.
Also wasn’t quite sure because there wasn’t obvious labelling but it seems like vegans would struggle here. Would be great to get some nice vegan options added to the menu.
