About This Pub

Ah, Thrybergh Working Mens Club – it's one of those unpretentious places that just feels like a proper community hub in Rotherham. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, homely vibe where you can pop in for a pint without breaking the bank; the prices are spot on for keeping things affordable, and the staff really make you feel at home with their chatty nature. It's brilliant for special occasions too, like weddings, where everything from the food to the DJ sounds top-notch, and being wheelchair friendly means it's accessible for everyone. Plus, it's a safe bet for a bit of fun banter without any hassle, which is a real plus for a relaxed night out. On the flip side, though, the beer and lager options are pretty basic, so if you're someone who likes a wide variety, you might find yourself wanting more. And let's not forget, parking's a bit tricky, which could be a nuisance if you're driving over. Overall, it's a solid choice for a no-fuss get-together, especially if you're looking for that community spirit, but it might not wow you with fancy extras.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The drinks are incredibly affordable, making it a brilliant spot for a budget-friendly pint or soft drink.
  • Staff are super friendly and welcoming, always up for a bit of banter which adds to the cosy vibe.
  • It's got a great atmosphere for events like weddings or live music nights, and it's fully wheelchair friendly too.
  • A relaxed place for those over 40, with no aggressive crowds – perfect for a laugh and a chat with mates.
  • They do some lovely charity work for special needs adults, which gives the place a real community feel.
Cons
  • The selection of beers and lagers is a bit limited, so if you're after something fancy, you might be disappointed.
  • Parking can be a bit of a faff, as it's not the easiest spot to leave your car.
  • Some folks have mentioned not enjoying the drinks on offer, which could put a dampener on things.
