About This Pub
Ah, The Tipsy Cow – it's one of those places that just feels like a hidden gem in Airdrie, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is genuinely brilliant; whether you're tucking into a hearty brunch with artisan coffee or savouring a proper dinner in the brasserie, everything's crafted with quality local produce that really shines through. The staff are an absolute treat, always on hand with a smile and that personal touch that makes you feel right at home, much like the stories of helpful waitresses and warm greetings in the reviews. And let's not forget the drinks – the cocktails and selection of beers and wines are spot on for unwinding after a long day. On the flip side, though, it's a shame about the parking situation; you'll have to sort that out nearby, which might not be ideal if you're driving over. Plus, with it being shut on Tuesdays and some earlier closing times, it could cramp your plans if you're after a spontaneous night out. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed get-together, but worth keeping those little niggles in mind to make the most of your visit – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the drawbacks!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think delicious brunch, lunch, and dinner options made with top-notch local ingredients, like those tasty steaks and salt and chilli chicken that folks rave about.
-
The staff are a real delight; they're super friendly, attentive, and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, just like in the reviews where servers were praised for their helpfulness.
-
It's got a fantastic atmosphere, with a cosy, festive vibe and lovely surroundings that make it perfect for a relaxed meal or a few drinks, especially in the brasserie area.
-
The drinks selection is brilliant, from cracking cocktails and beers to wines and milkshakes, which add a fun twist to any visit.
-
Overall, it's a moderately priced spot that offers great value, with generous portions and a welcoming feel that keeps people coming back.
Cons
-
It's closed on Tuesdays, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a mid-week outing.
-
Parking is a challenge – there's none on site, so you might end up hunting around, which could put a dampener on things.
-
The opening hours might not suit everyone, as breakfast wraps up fairly early and it turns in relatively early on some days, limiting late-night options.

Had a beautiful meal with my Husband and twin boys celebrating the end of thier school exams. Our waitress Naimh was so helpful and polite , unfortunately her shift ended before we personally got to thank her, although I managed to pass on our thanks to the manager at the time. As a family we will be back again. Thank to Naimh for making our experience so pleasurable, I hope your kindness, manners and respect is noticed with the work place.

Lovely food ,atmosphere and all staff so friendly and helpful
Have went to this restaurant for the first time.
Had a salt and chilli chicken tempura with curry sauce, and steak pie. Food was delicious, and the whole vibe felt festive, had little lights everywhere and it was cosy atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant.

There is no parking so we just parked at the street near by
Great service by friendly staff. Good portions, tastey food presented well. The starter mussels, good quantity, enough bread and yummy sauce. Prices reasonable and fab cocktails. Worth visiting.
Just took my wife to the tipsy cow for a meal & a few drinks, I have to say I was blown away with the quality of food, the standard of the cocktails & attentiveness of the staff. I was warmly greeted and shown to my table with Neive(apologies if the spelling is wrong) the server at the table (Beverley) could not have done anymore for us if she had tried. The chefs are smashing it out the park with a ultra modern menu of great options. We ate nothing that would not be on a top notch gastro pub in the city. As we were leaving David asked us how everything was and from start to finish it was first class! This is definitely our favourite place in Airdrie to eat.
