About This Pub

You know, chatting about Harry's Bar & Terrace, it's one of those places that has its heart in the right spot but could do with a bit of polishing up. On the plus side, with a 4.1 rating from folks who've been there, it's clear that plenty of people fancy it for a relaxed drink, and being open seven days a week from noon to 11 PM makes it super handy for catching up with mates. I reckon the location in Airdrie adds a nice community feel, and when the beer's on point, it's probably just what you need for a casual night. But honestly, it's not all rosy – I've heard a few tales of service that's a bit lacking, like staff who seem out of their depth when things get busy, or even a bit short with customers. Then there's the drinks; flat pints and underwhelming cocktails have put some off, and the atmosphere can feel a bit dated with the cold indoors and music that's more retro than rocking. All in all, if you're up for giving it a go, it's worth popping in for a quick one, but maybe keep your expectations in check and have a backup plan, like heading next door for a meal if things don't click.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's got a solid overall rating of 4.1, which suggests it's a go-to spot for many locals who enjoy the vibe.
  • They're open every day from midday till 11 PM, making it dead convenient for a cheeky pint after work or on the weekend.
  • From what I've seen, the beer can be alright when it's on form, and it's tucked away in Airdrie, which is a nice little area to pop into.
Cons
  • Service can be a right let-down at times, with staff seeming overwhelmed or a bit rude, especially when it's busy.
  • Drinks are hit and miss – flat beer and dodgy cocktails have cropped up in reviews, which is a shame for a bar.
  • The atmosphere feels a tad off; it's often cold inside, the music's stuck in the 60s, and there are no TVs, so it might not be the lively spot you're after.

Cold inside, music set in 60s,no TVs on (apparantly not working since the storm 7 weeks prior). One barmaid on duty, but that said the one on duty was clearly not up to the task of having 7 people in the bar. Poor show. Went next door for a meal which was superb but wouldnt go near the bar again unless things change.

Ridiculously poor service at the bar here tonight. I pointed out to the barman that both our pints were flat as the bottom of the glass was still roasting from the washer. He laughed and asked how that was his fault. After being told we didn’t ask for hot lager he poured two new ones in corona vases instead. Equally flat. Tadger

Warm flat beer and possibly the worst cocktail I've had yet, I was really surprised by this as the restaurant has always served up good food

Beer fine, bar very busy. Pretty disgusted at the attitude of the old guy behind the bar. While the younger members of staff slaved trying to serve a bar clearly too small for the number of patrons, Gandalf swanned around gathering in glasses and being rude to customers who had the temerity to ask for service. We'll drink elsewhere for now...
