About This Pub

Ah, The Three Wishes – it's one of those unassuming spots that just hits the mark for a proper pub experience. From the chats I've picked up, folks rave about the welcoming feel, where the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, whether you're popping in solo or with the family. The Guinness is bang on and won't set you back much, which is always a winner for us lot who appreciate a good value drink. And if you're in the mood for some grub, the reviews mention hearty options like that delicious Christmas dinner that had people raving about the flavours and generous servings. On the downside, it can be a bit on the quiet side, so it might not suit if you're chasing that energetic crowd or some live entertainment. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back night out – honest, reliable, and just what you need after a long day.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • Prices are spot on for a good pint, like that cracking Guinness that's always a hit.
  • It has a lovely, cosy atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed evening or a quick catch-up with mates.
  • The food comes highly recommended – think hearty portions that leave you satisfied, as shared in the reviews.
Cons
  • It might feel a tad quiet at times, so if you're after a lively buzz, it could fall a bit short.
  • No website means it's not the easiest to check out details like menus or events before heading over.

Local pub, recently a pre dinner pub with wife and kids. Staff always happy to serve and never over crowded. That doesn't mean it's not popular. Has a nice cosy feel. The Guinness is fab at the this pub.

I was with Dear friends from my local church, we were treated to Christmas dinner. We had vegetable soup & brown soda bread for a starter; which was delicious. Main was also yummy, & very plentiful. I struggled to finish it, but far too nice to leave & a crime to waste good food, when people are starving. The desert to die for, home made triffle, with fresh strawberries. The entertainment was lovely, I haven't seen live music in a pub setting for years. Many of my Dear friends & others got up & danced, which was great. Many thanks to all the amazing staff, so attentive, friendly & very helpful. Thanks also to all the generous sponsors, too many to name. God bless them all. We will definitely be back.
