About This Pub
Ah, The Sycamore, what a gem of a pub in Ashton-Under-Lyne! I've got to say, it's one of those places that just makes you feel glad you popped in. The staff are absolute stars – they're so attentive and go the extra mile, like sorting out a bottle warmer for a little one or helping with event planning. The food's a real highlight too; those homemade roasts and Sunday lunches are proper comforting, and at such reasonable prices, it's hard not to leave with a smile. It's brilliantly set up for families and even dogs, with a beer garden and live sports to keep things lively. On the flip side, though, the opening hours aren't always as flexible as you'd hope – you might find it shuts up shop a bit early on some evenings, which could put a dampener on spontaneous plans. And while it's generally buzzing, there have been times when popular items sell out, so it's worth checking ahead if you've got your heart set on something specific. Overall, it's a solid spot for a pint and a chat, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area – just keep those little drawbacks in mind for the best experience.

Cons
-

Occasionally, some menu items might be out of stock, as one person mentioned missing out on a favourite pudding – a small niggle, but it happens.
-
With its popularity, it could get quite busy during events or peak times, so you might have to wait a bit for a table or a drink.

I called in this afternoon with my niece and great niece for food . I cannot praise the service we had highly enough. The lady who was managing the pub today welcomed us, provided some hot water for us to warm a bottle for my 4 week old great niece and then later provided us with a bouncy chair. The food we had was excellent. The toilets were clean and fresh and the atmosphere was lovely - even on a quiet afternoon. We walk round Stamford Park quite regularly and we are so pleased to have found this gem so close . I would highly recommend a visit. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff on duty today. We will see you again

Lovely local pub serving food, great place to watch a match and have a few pints. Had Sunday Lunch here, food and service was excellent. Really friendly staff, nice atmosphere, was made to feel very welcome. Gutted there was no lemon cake for pudding, will have to visit again soon!
