About This Pub

Ah, The Soloman Cutler, it's one of those dependable Wetherspoon haunts in the heart of Birmingham that you can always rely on for a straightforward night out. I really appreciate how spacious and clean it is; it's just the ticket for popping in with mates for a chat over a pint or a hearty meal without breaking the bank. The food's spot on – think tasty burgers and classics that hit the spot – and they've got a great selection of drinks to keep everyone happy. The staff often come across as helpful and efficient, which makes the whole experience feel smooth, even on busier evenings. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; the toilets being upstairs can be a bit of a nuisance, especially after a few drinks, and there have been times when flooding or other issues have cropped up, which isn't ideal. Plus, service isn't always top-notch, with a few folks mentioning rude encounters that can dampen the mood. Overall, it's a cracking choice for a laid-back evening, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and maybe plan around those little hiccups.

The service was great as usual from start till finish. Siwani and team were great, see you again soon

Toilet of the year 2025 award winning venue. Not having to negotiate a staircase whilst drunk would've given it in an even higher rating, in my experience. I do believe that a clean khazi is a big plus when I'm out and about. I'm a cistern addict.

Called in for a quick beer, a large pub, typical Wetherspoons. Toilets upstairs, unable to use as they had some sort of flooding problem, water started to come through the ceiling in the bar area, so I decided to leave.

Nice venue, good location, selection of drinks not bad but the staff is. Bit rude staff and service is the same. When everything goes down then you never enjoy anything, not even the good atmosphere.
