About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Prince of Wales; it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot every time. From the reviews I've had a look at, the beer selection is spot on – they've got this brilliant range of real ales and ciders that really stand out, and it's clear folks are chuffed with what they try. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and knowing their stuff about the drinks, which makes the whole experience that bit more enjoyable. It's got this welcoming buzz about it, even on off-peak days, and everything's kept so tidy and fresh, like they've put real effort into making it feel homely. Being so close to the city centre is a bonus too; it's perfect for popping in after a wander around. On the downside, I had a bit of bother with their website – it didn't load properly for me, so you might need to rely on other sources for the latest info. And the opening times seem a tad muddled in places, which could catch you out if you're planning ahead. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone after a genuine pub feel, with more ups than downs based on what people are saying.

What a great range of ales and the two I tried were very good. A great atmosphere too; buzzing at 5pm on a Tuesday in early June. Brilliant landlady. Well worth a visit.
We found this lovely place by chance. We had a drink and I had a lovely pot of tea. I was informed by the lovely lady at the bar that it had been taken over and totally refurbished about 4 years previously. But it looked well looked after and lovingly cared for. A welcoming atmosphere friendly staff and a very good selection of beers and spirits as well as an interesting range of real ales for the ale fans. I noticed they hosted quiz nights and a bingo game night. So a great local pub. We will come here again.
One of the best pubs in Birmingham. Very near the city centre but in a residential area. An authentic pub that looks great inside and out, has an excellent range of drinks including rattlers cider which is rare outside the southwest and good service. If you like proper pubs this is highly recommended.
Just a 2 mins walk from the ICC and well worth it. Visited this venue when I was in Birmingham for a couple of nights, staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the beers, 10 hand pull pumps and all on as well.
This is part of the Black County Ales Group, so you know what to expect. Spotlessly clean ,warm, and friendly with a great choice of real ales on pull. All though I didn't have any food, my mom has the cobs and swears by them (good enough for me). We have been in there a few times as it's close to the NIA, and it's normally very busy. However, on this dinnertime, it was not.
I would definitely recommend this place as a great pub.
