About This Pub
Ah, The Midland Liverpool – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away on Ranelagh Street. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, inviting atmosphere where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like they're old mates you've not seen in ages. I love how it's praised for its friendly service and those reasonably priced pints that keep the conversation flowing without breaking the bank. It's clearly a favourite for folks looking to unwind and catch up, with a solid 4.3 rating showing it's hitting the mark for most. But, let's be straight, it's not all rosy – there was that unsettling incident mentioned, where things kicked off outside with someone claiming to be on the team, which could make you think twice about heading out for a smoke. Plus, not everyone's vibing with the Irish theme; some say it's lost a bit of its original appeal and feels a tad generic for Liverpool's pub scene. Still, with its doors open seven days a week from midday till 11pm, it's worth popping in if you're in the area – just go in with an open mind and keep an eye on the vibe to make sure it's a good night for you and your crew.
Pros and Cons
Pros

-
It's a great spot for catching up with mates over a decent pint at very reasonable prices – perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening.
-
The atmosphere is spot on for chilling out and having a good chat, with plenty of positive experiences shared by regulars.
-
Overall, it's got that classic pub charm that's hard to beat, especially in the heart of Liverpool.
Cons
-
There have been a few reports of trouble, like one incident where someone claimed to work there and things got a bit heated outside, which could put a damper on your night.
-
Some folks aren't keen on the Irish theme it's taken on, feeling it's just another one in the city and not quite their cup of tea.
-
Based on recent reviews, the consistency isn't always there, with a mixed bag of experiences that might leave you wanting more reliability.

What a great pub, service is spot on the staff are so friendly and make you welcome the minute you walk in. It’s a while since I last visited, but straight away I was recognised! Amazing ! Pease visit this bar, you will enjoy it, I promise!
Went there for a quiet drink tonight there was 7 of us. There was an Irish lad by the bar with his girlfriend both in celtic tops. My husband and a couple of others went outside for a cigarette this lad came outside clearly to start trouble starting on my husband. I went out he said he worked there and told us to behave when we hadn't done a thing. Will never go in this pub again. Terrible
Used to like going here for a pint when in town , last time I was in there it's changed into a Irish themed pub , town doesn't need another Irish themed pub, have to find somewhere else now pity
