About This Pub
Ah, The Mallard in Felling is one of those classic pubs that just warms your heart the moment you step inside – it's got that genuine North East charm with staff who are always up for a chat and make you feel like part of the furniture. I really appreciate the good selection of beers, like their excellent Guinness, and the prices are spot on for keeping things affordable without skimping on quality. It's brilliant for sports fans too, with a big projector that comes down for the big events and BT Sport to keep the excitement going. The location's a winner as well, right by the bus stop and Metro, so it's dead convenient for a quick pint or meeting up after work. On the downside, it's a pity they don't have real ales or Sky Sports, which might put off some folks, and if you're after a proper meal, you'll have to sort that out with a delivery since they don't serve food themselves. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, though it could do with a bit more variety to keep things fresh – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives definitely outweigh the niggles.

Crying shame to see so many pubs in Felling going under, I only visit here once a year between Xmas and New Year but always feel welcome, good selection of beers and reasonably priced and bonus time this year with this beauty. See you next year!
Nice friendly pub, excellent Guinness, no real ales though, they have a big projector screen which comes down for big sporting events, if you like sports it's good to note that they have BT sport but not sky, well worth a visit.
Good traditional pub with landlord and wife usually there talking to customers.
Two other pubs around corner and handy for Metro (Felling). Well worth a visit to the area.
Edit.
Impressed with covid safety measures.
Exactly what I expect when I visit a typical North East pub. Great family spirit and cracking prices. They don't do food themselves but are always happy to help you get such delivered from local vendors and allow you to eat this on the premises. Despite the fact I live in Germany, I will definitely be back :-)
Really friendly bar, great beer, fabulous atmosphere. The bus stop & Felling metro are very close by so great for transport links. This is a great bar for meeting friends and loved ones to start or end your evening off.
