About This Pub
Ah, The Loft Bar – it's one of those hidden gems that really captures the essence of a traditional Irish pub, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's all about those superb pints at prices that won't break the bank, and the staff sound like absolute legends, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone feels welcome. The pool table and jukebox add that extra spark, turning a simple drink into a proper night out, and with live sports on the TV, it's ideal for gathering with mates over a match. But, on the flip side, it's a bit gutting to see it's closed right now, which could leave you high and dry if you're planning a spontaneous visit. Plus, there's not a whisper about food, so if you're peckish, you might end up needing to venture out for a proper meal. Overall, it seems like a solid choice for a relaxed evening once it's back up and running, but I'd say keep an eye on things and maybe give them a ring first to avoid any disappointment – it's all about that balance, really, to make sure you're in for a treat.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The pints are absolutely spot on – great quality and at a cracking price, perfect for a casual night out.
-
Friendly staff who are full of banter and make you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates behind the bar.
-
A proper Irish pub vibe with a pool table and jukebox that keep things lively and entertaining.
-
Live sports on the telly and a welcoming atmosphere for catching up with friends, making it a top spot for socialising.
-
Handy location right next to the bus station, so it's easy to pop in after a day out.
Cons
-
The place seems to be closed at the moment, which is a real shame as it might put a dampener on plans to visit.
-
No mention of food options, so if you're after a bite to eat with your drink, you might need to head elsewhere.
-
Not much of an online presence – no website means it's tricky to check opening times or get more info before you go.
-
With only a handful of reviews, it's hard to get a full picture, and it might not be as buzzing as busier spots.
