About This Pub
Ah, The Lady Jane – it's one of those local gems in Whitwick that just hits the spot for a proper pub experience. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic community spirit where everyone feels welcome, thanks to the friendly faces behind the bar who work hard to keep the place buzzing. I love how they've got live music and events like open mic nights, making it a fun spot to unwind without the noise overwhelming your conversation – perfect for a laid-back evening with friends. The drinks are reasonably priced, and they've got a decent selection of snacks, plus that outside area with barbecues sounds like a treat on a sunny day. On the flip side, though, it looks like the pub might be closed at the moment, which is a real shame, and the operating hours are a bit all over the place, so you'd want to confirm before you go. Also, with not many recent reviews, it might not be as lively as it once was, and the website's playing up, which doesn't help if you're trying to plan ahead. All in all, if it's open and running, it's worth a visit for that authentic local pub charm, but keep an eye on the details to avoid any letdowns.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in – Mandy and the owners really go the extra mile to keep things cheerful.
-
It's got a brilliant social vibe with live music and events like open mic nights, which make for a lively yet relaxed evening out.
-
The atmosphere is just spot on for catching up with mates; it's calm without any blaring music, so you can actually chat properly.
-
They offer a good variety of drinks, along with simple snacks like crisps and nuts, and it's all at inexpensive prices, so it's easy on the wallet.
-
There's a nice outside seating area with covered spots, and they organise fun things like barbecues, which adds a bit of outdoor charm on a good day.
Cons
-
The pub's current status seems a bit unclear – it might be closed right now, which could put a damper on plans if you're hoping to pop in soon.
-
The operating hours look a tad messy and inconsistent in the listings, so it's worth double-checking before heading over to avoid any disappointment.
-
There haven't been many recent reviews, which makes me wonder if things have quietened down a bit lately, even though the older ones are glowing.
-
Their website isn't loading properly, so it's tricky to get more details online, which might leave you relying on word of mouth or a quick visit.

Great for social atmosphere and live music, friendly hospitality, Mandy is just a great lass working hard to keep English local pubs on the map 😀 👍
Had a great Saturday night, bitterly cold outside but warm welcome inside.
Had a catch up friends we hadn't seen for a while, didn't have the menu just drinks, it's very relaxing, no loud music.
This is an absolutely amazing pub.I am local to Whitwick lady Jane . The owners are lovely people and are always welcome in.
No matter if you’ve had a good or you’ve had a bad day they are always lovely and always greet you. The drinks are amazing they have a variety of crisps and nuts also if you want them. They have a pool table that sometimes can get busy when is the match day but otherwise they’re they’re very very good to play on. They also have bands and odd axon on a Saturday or Friday and it is really really good. But my all over review of this is please if you are local to Whitwick Coalville or Ashby please go to lady Jane as he won’t be disappointed
Nice welcoming atmosphere. Great live bands most weekends, and an open mic night available to anyone wishing to join in every first Friday of the month. Nice place to enjoy live music. There is a substantial outside seating area which is covered. And regular open air barbecues are organised. One of the better and more active pubs in the area. Well worth a visit.
