About This Pub
You know, if you're after that quintessential British pub experience, The Three Horse Shoes really hits the mark – it's got this lovely, old-school feel with friendly hosts who go out of their way to make you smile. I'd say the beers are a standout; classics like Bass and Pedigree are spot on, and they've got a decent range of other drinks too, including options for non-drinkers, which is handy for a night out with mates. Being dog-friendly adds to the appeal, making it a great spot for a relaxed afternoon. On the downside, the bar's a bit tight on space, so if you're with a big group, you might end up feeling a little squished, especially during peak times. Plus, without a website, it's not straightforward to get the latest info, and that one day a week they're closed could catch you out. All in all, it's a gem of a place with a solid 4.7 rating, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind for a smoother visit.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a fantastic selection of beers, like Bass and Pedigree, which are absolute must-tries for any ale enthusiast.
-
It's a proper traditional pub with a warm, community vibe and a historic grade 2 listed building that just oozes character.
-
Dog-friendly setup means you can bring your furry mate along, which is brilliant for those of us who hate leaving them behind.
-
Prices are really reasonable, so you won't break the bank enjoying a pint or a quick bite like their tasty cobs.
-
There's a good variety of drinks, including non-alcoholic options, so everyone's catered for, even the designated driver.
Cons
-
The bar area is a bit on the small side, so it can feel a tad cramped when it's busy, making it tricky for larger groups.
-
No website listed means it's not the easiest to check opening times or menus online – you might have to give them a ring or just pop by.
-
They're closed one day a week, which could put a dampener on plans if you're hoping for a spontaneous visit on that day.

Brilliant pub with tiny bar for customers to squeeze into for friendly hassle from the landlords and good variety of drinks and cobs available.(Even managed to get a non-alcoholic cuppa for the driver😉😂!)
