About This Pub

Ah, The Kittoch in East Kilbride is one of those reliable local spots that's part of the Hungry Horse family – it's got that genuine, welcoming feel that makes you want to pop in for a pint or a bite. From the reviews, the staff really stand out; they're courteous and go the extra mile, like that server Marco who made someone's lunch a delight, or the team behind the Friday quiz nights that create such a buzzing atmosphere. The food's a highlight too – think juicy burgers, crispy chips, and specials that won't break the bank, perfect for a casual get-together or catching the big games on Sky Sports. It's got all the perks for a laid-back day out, with a sunny beer garden and family-friendly touches. But, to keep it real, there are a few downsides; some have mentioned skimpy portions that don't quite satisfy, and there can be the occasional blunder like food shortages or rushed service when things get hectic. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after good craic and value for money, just maybe keep expectations in check for peak times and give it a go for those wallet-friendly deals.

Went here today for lunch with 5 of the family. Tried to order steak pie and was told they didn't have any left and then five minutes later was told oh wait we have got some 🤷. Honestly I wish they never told me so I'd of ordered the fish and chips. The steak pie was short crust rather than the traditional crust. The whole pie casing was quite hard. As for inside the pie, just gravy, I found what two maybe three tiny bits of steak in it and they was really chewy fatty bits. The gravy tastes nice and that as far as that went. The chips were good that came with it but I got a handful at best. The peas wasn't upto much either of which I got a tea spoon full. Overall the main was 2/10 and that's me being generous. The starter was lentil soup which once I seasoned it properly it was not bad. 5/10 for that, ive made much better at home with less ingredients. The place was very quiet, not much of an atmosphere at all. All the staff was very friendly. I think if I'd of got the fish and chips this would have been a bit better review as one at our table got it and said it was nice but again had very few chips. So overall 3.5/10. Don't think I'll be back.

Really loved this place. I had lunch today with my daughter we were shown to our table by a lovey guy called Marco he was so curtious and attentive making sure we were looked after while waiting on our food. Nothing was to much trouble. Both myself and my daughter agreed that Marco was a credit to you. If only more restaurants have this callibar of staff. Please pass on our thanks to him we will be back

Love it here, the burgers are fantastic - well seasoned and not dried out at all! Chips are always crispy and well seasoned. Best of all on a Friday its buy one burger get one free!!! Staff are very friendly and professional. We got an American style burger with a hot dog on top, would have loved dessert but we were too stuffed to manage one lol Has sn outdoor play area along with seating. The car park is large and no problem to find space. Highly reccomend!
