About This Pub
Ah, The Horseshoe – what a delightful find in Harrow! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a casual get-together. The staff stand out as real stars; they're helpful and make you feel like you're catching up with old mates, which is just lovely for unwinding after a long day. Prices are spot on too – think pints at £4.30, a far cry from the eye-watering costs elsewhere in London, so it's brilliant value without skimping on quality beers or that perfect Guinness pour. The atmosphere is another winner; it's ideal for watching the footie or enjoying some classic 70s and 80s music, with even the odd jam night throwing in a fun twist. But, on the flip side, the operating hours can be a bit of a muddle with conflicting times, so you might end up turning up when it's not quite open, which is a bit frustrating. It's a small spot, mind you, so if it gets packed, space could be tight, and without a website, it's not the easiest to get the lowdown online. Still, with such high ratings and positive vibes from folks who've been there, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with the flow and enjoy the good times!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and always helpful, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's got a cracking selection of beers at really reasonable prices – like a pint for just £4.30, which is a bargain compared to other spots in London.
-
The atmosphere is spot on for watching football or just having a relaxed chat; it's a proper cosy Irish pub vibe.
-
They play some brilliant 70s and 80s tunes, or even host fun jam nights, which really adds to the enjoyment.
-
It's a hidden gem in Harrow, perfect for a quick pint before a game or a laid-back evening with mates.
Cons
-
The opening hours seem a bit confusing with varying times listed, so you might want to double-check before heading out to avoid disappointment.
-
Being a small pub, it can feel a tad cramped if it gets busy, especially during match days.
-
There's no website to look up the latest info, which makes it trickier to plan a visit or see what's on offer.
-
While the reviews are glowing, there aren't many recent ones beyond the last six months, so it might not always be buzzing.
