About This Pub
So, let me share my thoughts on The Grosvenor Free House – it's one of those places that really captures that classic British pub charm, with a bit of accommodation thrown in for good measure. I love how the staff go out of their way to make everything welcoming, and the bar area is buzzing with entertainment options like karaoke and a lively nightclub feel, which is brilliant if you're in the mood for a laugh and some drinks. The rooms themselves are tidy and come with thoughtful touches like a kitchenette and free WiFi, plus it's conveniently placed near some cracking local spots with hassle-free parking. On the downside, though, it's not all smooth sailing; some have had a rough time with the noise levels, what with thin walls letting in every sound and music that can drown out your telly, making it hard to unwind. Then there's the dated decor and shared bathrooms that might feel a tad outdated or inconvenient for those wanting a bit more privacy. All in all, it's a solid pick if you're after a vibrant, sociable vibe for a night out, but if you're looking for a peaceful retreat, you might want to weigh up the pros and cons before booking – it's all about knowing what you're in for, really.

Cons
-
Some rooms can be really noisy with thin walls and loud music, making it tough to get a decent night's sleep if you're after some peace.
-
The setup feels a bit dated, with shared bathrooms and basic facilities that might not live up to expectations for a more modern stay.
-
Occasional disturbances like the car wash in the car park can be a nuisance, especially if your room overlooks it.
-
A few visitors have found it overwhelming for relaxation, with complaints about things like bright light leaking in early or the overall vibe not being restful.

Been the best place to stay in a very long time
Music played so loud cldnt even hear the TV in the room. If u need a nights sleep definitely don't stay here.
Not sure what I expected, but a carwash in the car park outside my window wasn't one of them! The rooms were clean but very dated, the curtains had gaping gaps at the sides letting daylight flood in at 0430. There was 1 bathroom/toilet between 4 or 5 rooms. The walls were paper thin so getting to sleep wasn't easy. The beds creaked every time you rolled over, as did the floor boards every time anyone went past your room. I could say more but this will do...
Absolutely dreadful the only positive was the room was clean....a house of multiple occupancy bed like concrete fire escape staircase outside to get to the room it was so bad we booked for 2 nights and only stayed for 1 couldn't possibly suffer another night there
It's a nice pub with lovely staff. The perfect place to go for a pint and a game of pool. There is a car wash at the back. Why not get your car washed while you are there. However remember not to drink and drive
