About This Pub

Ah, The Fairfield Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away in Wigston. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really stand out; they're so approachable and always up for a chat or a laugh, which makes popping in for a pint feel like catching up with old mates. The atmosphere is spot on too, with regular quizzes and events that keep things lively and give you a reason to return. They've got a decent range of food and drinks that won't set you back much, and it's got that nice blend of cozy and modern vibes, especially if you fancy a seat outside on a sunny day. On the downside, I've heard a few grumbles about the carvery – portions can be on the miserly side for the price, which is a shame if you're in the mood for a proper roast. Still, if you play it safe with the other options, it's a solid spot for good times and affordable fun, and with that 4.2 rating, most folks seem to leave with a smile.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • It's got a lively atmosphere with regular events like quizzes and special occasions, which add a fun twist to your visit.
  • They offer a solid selection of food and drinks at affordable prices, perfect for a casual catch-up without breaking the bank.
  • The place has a cozy-modern feel with nice outdoor seating, making it ideal for gatherings or just enjoying a quiet drink outside.
Cons
  • There have been complaints about the carvery portions being a bit skimpy and overpriced, so it might not live up to expectations if that's what you're after.
  • The operating hours can seem a tad confusing based on what's listed, so it's worth checking in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Not carvery measly portions. Plated for you in the kitchen by scruffy little cookhand .£12.95 for 1 spoon of peas and mash 2 small roast potatoes and carrots shamefull . Miserly . Avoid!

Great pub, been coming here for years, great atmosphere. They have regular quizzes which are great fun with prizes for the winners. Good selection of food and drink, staff are really friendly and helpful with a good sense of humour. They also host special events Halloween, new year, etc which are always fun. Visit this pub, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely place, went here for a wedding party and they did an amazing job, staff were all over looking after the party and serving drinks up fast as well as tidying up and gave lots of smiles. Very well decorated and nothing felt out dated cozy-modern feel and it was nice sitting outside and playing jenga! Spacious but cozy, Lovely lovely place, homey atmosphere for a special occasion, it was so easy to feel comfortable in a new place. + Toilets were easy to find, were clean and well maintained too!
