About This Pub

Ah, The Drawing Board – what a delightful find in Leamington Spa! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by this wonderfully eclectic setup with mismatched furniture, squishy sofas, and walls full of nostalgic comics and games that just make you feel right at home. It's got that perfect pub charm, ideal for catching up with friends over a drink or a bite. The drinks selection is something else entirely; as a freehouse, they've got an amazing array of craft beers and more, and it's clear why they scooped up that 'Best For Beer' award – it's like they've thought of every beer lover's dream. The food doesn't disappoint either, with a cracking menu of tapas and gourmet options that's super inclusive, offering vegan and gluten-free choices that are genuinely delicious and well-presented. The service is another winner, with friendly faces who make you feel welcome and looked after. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – the prices do lean towards the higher end, especially for drinks, so if you're after something more affordable, you might want to keep that in mind. Still, for a special night out or when you fancy treating yourself, it's well worth it, and that outdoor garden is a lovely bonus on a nice day. Overall, it's a solid spot that strikes a great balance between fun and quality, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – think cosy sofas, log burners, and walls lined with vintage comics and games, making it a proper relaxing spot to unwind with mates.
  • They've got an incredible selection of craft beers and drinks; it's like a kid in a sweetshop with all the options, and they've even won awards for it, which is no small feat.
  • The food is a real highlight, with a mix of gourmet tapas and world-inspired dishes, plus plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices that cater to all sorts without skimping on flavour.
  • Service is warm and friendly, with staff who are attentive and know their stuff, adding to that welcoming pub vibe.
  • There's a lovely outdoor garden for sunnier days, perfect for enjoying a pint or a bite al fresco.
Cons
  • Prices can be a bit steep, especially for the drinks, so it might not be the best pick if you're watching your wallet.
  • It's not the cheapest spot around, which could put off those looking for a quick, budget-friendly pint or meal.

Wow! I was absolutely blown away by this place. My friend is gluten free and we were looking for places to accommodate her. I had never heard of this place as I usually only go to the parade in Leamington. The atmosphere here was so relaxed and lovely. It was nice to see the owner working and he gave me good recommendations on the beers available. The food was amazing and I found it to be such high quality for the price we payed. The only thing I would suggest to the owner is to perhaps lower the price for the gluten free bread as the soup comes with bread for free for non gluten customers. Other than that I enjoyed myself and would definitely recommend people to visit, you can easily see the heart and soul that has been put into the place.

An airy and tastefully decorated pub with annuals and comic book reminders from.our childhoods - Beano, Look and Learn, Archie, and many more more. Cold beer and warm food in a convivial atmosphere.

For beer, this place really surprised me. 4 on cask and some really interesting quality beers on keg..including a magnificent Magic Rock raspberry stout. (Obviously their beers do rotate). Personable barman and a nice sunny outdoor garden. If you appreciate good beer, include this place on your Leamington list 👍

Great location, one of the best pubs in leamington. Their food is definitely one of the best in Leamington, the drinks are quite pricy, but worth it for the cozy vibes. Would highly recommend!

Friends booked this venue on looking at online recommendations and the vegan menu choices. We were all delighted with the choice, the service was attentive, informative and friendly and the food was delicious, hot, presented well and good quality. It’s not the cheapest of establishments but worth it for a special occasion. Great choice of vegan options both with starters (tapas), mains and puddings.
