About This Pub
Ah, The Colliers Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub in Chadderton, you know? From what I've gathered from chats with others who've popped in, the staff are an absolute delight, especially the manager who's always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome. The food's generally a winner too, coming out nice and quick with some solid options that hit the spot after a long week. And let's not forget the outdoor space – it's massive and has a play area for the little ones, which makes it ideal for a family Sunday afternoon. They've got all sorts going on inside as well, like pool, darts, and live events that keep things lively without being overwhelming. On the downside, though, that smart parking setup is a right nuisance; a few mates have mentioned getting caught out because it wasn't obvious, and that could really sour your visit. Plus, there have been times when the food takes ages or doesn't quite live up to expectations, like with some veg that's a bit too firm for comfort. All in all, it's a cracking spot for a pint and a catch-up, as long as you go in with your eyes open to the odd hiccup – I'd say it's well worth a try if you're in the area.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
Friendly staff and a welcoming manager who really engages with guests, making you feel right at home.
-
Tasty food that's often served quickly, with plenty of positive nods to the grub on offer.
-
Spacious outdoor seating and a play area for the kids, which is brilliant for those sunny days out.
-
A great atmosphere with the pub being clean, bright, and inviting, plus loads of entertainment like pool, darts, live sports, and even karaoke nights.
-
It's a lively local spot with high marks overall, perfect for a relaxed get-together or family outing.
Cons
-
The smart parking system isn't clearly signposted or mentioned, which could lead to unexpected fines and a bit of a headache.
-
Sometimes there's a long wait for food, and it can put a dampener on things if you're in a rush.
-
A few complaints about food quality, like undercooked veg or dishes that don't quite hit the mark, which is a shame given the highs.

The colliers in chadderton now has smart parking. Be careful when pulling up. Went in for a drink paid in cash didn’t realise that there was a smart parking there. Also didn’t get told about it whilst in the pub and it’s also not on their social platforms. Went in today to ask if there was any cameras to proof I was in the pub they dismissed me and said that I have to pay the fine. Make sure you keep recipes if you’re paying in cash. Bull shitting fines 😎
