About This Pub

Ah, The Bull – it's one of those classic South London pubs that just feels like a proper gem, you know? Tucked away in Streatham, it's got this gorgeous historic vibe with stunning interiors and original stained glass windows that make you feel right at home. I've heard from folks that the food is a real highlight; those Sunday roasts are massive and packed with flavour, and the burgers from the shack are spot on for a satisfying bite. It's also brilliant for families or if you're bringing the dog along, and that beer garden is an absolute treat on a sunny day – imagine sipping on one of their new spritzes while soaking up the rays. The staff seem genuinely lovely, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere that's perfect for celebrations or just watching the game. On the flip side, though, a few mates mentioned that things can get a tad slow with drinks and food service, especially when it's busy, and not every dish is a winner – some are brilliant, others just average. Overall, it's a solid spot for a good night out or a relaxed meal, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and aren't in a massive hurry.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The historic charm and beautiful interiors make it feel like a proper traditional pub, with original features that really add to the atmosphere.
  • The food is spot on, especially the Sunday roasts and burgers – massive portions that leave you feeling well satisfied.
  • It's super family-friendly and even welcomes dogs, so it's ideal for a relaxed day out with the whole gang.
  • The beer garden is a brilliant sun-trap, perfect for enjoying a pint or a spritz when the weather's nice.
  • Friendly staff and a welcoming vibe make it great for events, parties, or just catching up with mates while watching the footy.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit slow at times, so if you're in a rush, it might not be the best choice.
  • The food gets mixed feedback; while some dishes are fantastic, others can be just okay, so it's hit or miss depending on what you order.

14 of use, so it took a while to get the drinks once ordered. Same with the food. Mixed reviews about the food some good some mediocre. Large portions of the roast dinners.

A friend recommended this place when I asked for a great roast - and they weren't wrong! Most roasts in London are disappointing and you end up leaving hungry - but here, the food was fantastic and plenty of it The staff were also really lovely and the place had a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back for a Sunday Roast again!

During my time in London, The Bull was always a great choice to visit. Whether for a delicious meal, a beer, or a drink, I always found a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. It's a pub with a great vibe, perfect for a good time. Definitely a place I highly recommend visiting. Additionally, my dog was always welcome, which made it even better!

By far, the best Pub in the area. I had two favourites, The Great Southern and The Bull. After today. There's only one to rule them all, The Bull. The food is consistently good. The Sunday roast is massive, the burgers, fish and chips, etc... are great. The lunch menu is good too. No wonder that you have to book your table on Sunday. If you don't book your table, you can forget about walking in and getting seated. We are regular, there were months when we were at The Bull twice per week. AAA

I had my lunch at the Bull on Saturday. The food and service were fantastic. I loved the open fireplace in the cold weather. It makes the atmosphere more cosy. I wanna definitely come back for Sunday roast in January.
