About This Pub

Ah, The Brook – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Sale. I have to say, the beer selection is spot on; they've got classics like JW Lees Bitter that pour just right, and it's always a treat to try something new from their range. The beer garden is an absolute delight on a sunny afternoon, where you can kick back with your mates and watch the world go by. And if you're a sports fan, it's brilliant for catching live games on the telly – Sky and TNT have got you covered for all the action. The staff are genuinely warm and make you feel right at home, which really adds to the cosy vibe. Prices are fair too, so you won't break the bank for a good time. On the flip side, the tram stop nearby can bring a bit of hustle and bustle, making it noisier than you'd like sometimes, and it does fill up quickly during big events, which might mean a queue or two. All in all, it's a solid spot for a casual get-together, but if you're after something more low-key or with hearty food, it might not be the first choice. Still, I'd recommend giving it a go for that authentic pub experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • It's got a lovely beer garden, perfect for soaking up the sun with mates and enjoying a refreshing pint.
  • Live sports are a big win, with Sky and TNT showing all the major games, making it ideal for cheering on your team.
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, adding to that cosy, friendly vibe.
  • Prices are spot on for a good night out – inexpensive and reasonable without skimping on quality.
  • The location's handy, right by the tram stop, so it's easy to pop in before heading off elsewhere.
Cons
  • Being next to the tram stop can make it a tad noisy at times, which might disrupt a quiet chat.
  • It can get pretty crowded during big events or match days, so you might end up waiting a bit for your drink.
  • There's not much mention of food options, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to look elsewhere.

Had a few drinks prior to the Ireland v France 6N game. They had the footy on prior to this. Nice location, relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Not bad. Quick pint. Decor was nice and beer was good. If you love trams though it is next to a tram stop. I do not love trams so this made no difference to me.
