About This Pub

Ah, The Bloxwich Showman – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon haunts that you can always count on for an affordable pint and a hearty meal without breaking the bank. I have to say, the food really hits the spot most of the time, with generous portions that leave you feeling satisfied, and the theatre-like setting with its bright lights and stylish walls makes for a fun, upbeat environment to catch up with mates. The outside areas are thoughtfully set up for smokers and non-smokers alike, and the clean toilets add to that comfortable feel. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – you might find yourself twiddling your thumbs waiting for staff to clear tables or deal with any issues, and there have been times when the soft drinks machine was playing up, cutting down on options. Plus, a few folks have mentioned problems with food not being piping hot or the disabled facilities falling short, which is a shame and could put a damper on things for some. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after a no-fuss night out in Bloxwich, but just go in with your eyes open to the occasional hiccups – it's worth it for the good bits!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is generally tasty with generous portions, making it a brilliant spot for a budget-friendly meal.
  • It has a unique theatre-style setting with bright lighting and smooth styling, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
  • The toilets are kept clean, and there are handy outside areas for both smokers and non-smokers, which is always a plus for a relaxed visit.
Cons
  • Staffing can be a bit stretched, so you might end up waiting ages for tables to be cleared or service to pick up.
  • The soft drinks machine is sometimes out of action, which limits your choices and can be a bit disappointing.
  • Food quality isn't always spot on – things like cold baked potatoes or rubbery eggs have cropped up, and there are issues with the disabled toilet not being properly maintained or accessible.

Not enough staff so tables were left for ages before clearing. Soft Drinks machine broken leaving limited choice. Two of three meals OK but the baked potato was cold. Not the best spoons.

Disabled toilet door is and has always been open for everyoneto use becuse they cant be bothered to walk upstairs! We have an autistic child and occasionally my nan comes along with us who is also disabled. We have found condoms and drug wrappers inside. Totally out of order as I went too change my son and there was an empty bag of coke on the changing mat. Staff are great but after the above has been taken care of they leave the door open again soo it just keeps in happening. If your disabled I wouldn't visit this wetherspoons. All other weatherspoons keep there disabled door locked

This was a great pub for dinner, with a large two-floor theatre setting! The walls are smoothly styled and the lighting gives off heavy brightness, counter is well-presented too. I had the signature wrap with chips, although the cutlery was a bit dirty as you can see. Food was nice enough though and my pint of Leffe's was solid, plenty of seating available as well.

Vegetarian breakfast . How can you screw up frying an egg not once but twice resulting what looks like the plastic rubber eggs you find in a childs toy kitchen. Would of delivered the feedback personally should anyone of bothered to do do a check back. Photos are of how food was served I hadn't touched them
