About This Pub

Ah, The Bell in Walsall is one of those pubs that feels like a proper local spot, where you can pop in for a bite and a bevvy without any fuss. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the food is a real winner – they've got everything from hearty mains to options for kids and veggies, and it's all served up with a smile. The staff are spot on, always polite and ready to lend a hand, and that beer garden is just the ticket for a relaxed afternoon. It's conveniently located with free parking, making it easy to swing by after a wander nearby. On the downside, you might find yourself twiddling your thumbs if there's a delay with the app orders, and it's a shame when the tables aren't quite up to scratch or the music drowns out your conversation. All in all, it's a decent choice for a casual get-together, as long as you keep in mind it has its off moments like any place.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely brilliant, with a wide range of tasty options like honey glazed pork and fresh seafood that really hit the spot.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable.
  • It's got a lovely sunny beer garden, perfect for soaking up the rays with a drink in hand.
  • Easy to get to with plenty of free parking, and it's great that they welcome dogs so you can bring your furry friends along.
Cons
  • There can be delays with orders, especially if you're using the app, which might leave you waiting a bit longer than expected.
  • Tables sometimes aren't as clean as they'd ideally be, which can take away from the overall experience.
  • The music can get a tad too loud at times, making it hard to have a proper chat over a meal.
  • They occasionally run out of popular items like certain drinks, which is a bit of a letdown during busy periods.

Had my little brothers holy communion party here, it was fabulous! Highly recommend the honey glazed pork! The service was great! Maurice was so helpful and polite and the atmosphere was so nice as-well. 5 star 100%

Cheap and cheerful but surprisingly good. We ordered via the app which was fairly straightforward although it was difficult to find the table number for us to actually finish the order. Towards the end of the night there was a bit of a delay between the app order and drinks being delivered (20 minutes to deliver a coke and a tea) but it was busy especially as it was a Saturday so I don't hold this against the staff. The food is standard pub fayre, but small details, like the salad actually looking fresh and tasty was a plus. The car park is free but you do need to put your registration in the number pad before you leave. The toilets are also located upstairs (there is a separate disabled one) but the cubicles are quite tight! Overall would recommend.

Rainbow Lasagna and Grilled Seabass Fillets. My friend and and I had these for a change and we both enjoyed our choices. Me meet up here fairly often for drink and a catch-up. Staff are friendly service good. Never had a bad meal. They did run out of Pink Gin! Over Christmas 🤦‍♀️

What a great reception from Adam, George and the staff here at The Bell today... Me and the wife came for dinner with friends who live nearby as this place comes highly recommended. It's clear from the quality and presentation why this place has such a good reputation...😋😋 As we were the first ones in food came out really quickly as well. Photos show this fantastic venue is exceptionally clean and well presented. This pub is surely the benchmark of how a pub should be experienced. Very welcoming staff, great food, fantastic decor and warm comfortable surroundings. Ember inns should be very proud of the staff and management here... We had a great time and will surely be back again. Great job today guys... (D)😎

The food was nice, they specifically made a lunch for my daughter. The service was OK. The music was far too loud for a Sunday lunch, and the tables were dirty. Besides those points it was a good experience. We particularly liked the carpark. The bell was dog friendly. However, on the negative side, the celling had a few stains throughout the pub. Overall a nice welcoming pub 4/5.
