About This Pub
You know, I had a great time checking out Tapsters in Ashton-under-Lyne – it's one of those hidden gems that really hits the spot if you're after a proper pub experience. The beer selection is fantastic, with loads of options like cask ales, kegs, and even some fruity sours that keep things interesting, and it's all served up by the nicest staff who make you feel like a regular from the get-go. The atmosphere is what really stands out, though; it's buzzing with classic rock tunes and walls full of memorabilia, giving it that fun, rock-and-roll edge without being overwhelming. Prices are spot on too, especially with the £3 pints on Sundays – it's a proper treat for a casual catch-up. On the flip side, the opening hours seem a bit all over the place, so you might end up disappointed if you turn up at the wrong time, and it's a shame there's no website to quickly check what's on offer. All in all, if you're looking for a welcoming spot with great drinks and a chilled-out crowd, I'd say give Tapsters a go – it's got that warm, community feel that makes you want to come back for more.

Great music (classic rock) and lovely bar staff. Good beer selection with 3 cask, a ton of keg including cider and usually a fruity sour too.
Memorabilia on the wall.
Sundays are £3/pint of cask.

Ashton-under-Lyne's own little gem of a rock bar
Another decent bar in Ashton! Nice to see more bars serving craft beers! Good atmosphere, a bit like a mini Hard Rock cafe. Also refreshing to hear some rock music and not the usual pop sh1te! Decent prices too!
Great little place hidden in Ashton centre only went in today for the first time after a friend recommended it. Lovely, clean, friendly pub with beers I'd neve heard of but was more than happy to sample 😀
Had a bit of a Rock & Roll vibe I liked with guitars etc on the wall and music playing, although could hardly hear it as was very busy, even at around 4 pm Saturday when I went in.
Would recommend and definitely going back next time I'm in Ashton for a drink.
What a great drinking place, food served alongside a great selection of craft ales and wine. Very competitively priced drinks, (Birra Moretti £3.50 a pint), cheaper than The Calendonian and The Prince of Orange, served in the correct glass I might add. The decor is very appealing, and the staff are really nice, friendly who put the needs of the customer first.
Music is good to, good place to have a chat ,on old st ,Ashton opposite the Shubar.
