Food was fantastic and great value for money and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Great selection of drinks, really cosy premises and excellent experience all round. Can absolutely recommend and will be coming back.

We visited Stonegate Yard three times over Easter weekend as we liked it so much. We had a cream tea with friends on Saturday when we first discovered it and ate out in the very pleasant yard. Service was excellent with very friendly attentive staff. We revisited on Sunday morning just for teas and coffee and had those indoors this time. We were so impressed we booked a table for a Sunday roast later in the day which was excellent! We got huge plates of food which included half a small roast chicken with a selection of veg and a huge Yorkshire Pudding which were excellent. Again the staff were brilliant - speedy and attentive. Will definitely go there again when we're next in York.

Great place food was really good. We sat in the courtyard. They had a canopy over due to the weather. They opened it for a few minutes before it started to drizzle. Good place to eat with dogs as long as they are well-behaved. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The food, tho a little slow, was lovely.

Came in for my mom's birthday. The staff were amazing, asked them to bring her a little cake with a candle and they did ! even sang her a little song, which made her night special. AMAZING RIBS ! one of the main reasons we keep coming back.
