About This Pub
Ah, Stadium Lounge Restaurant & Wine Bar – it's one of those places that really captures the essence of a good night out with its authentic Eritrean cuisine, where every dish feels like it's been prepared with real care and passion. I love how they've got something for everyone, whether you're tucking into a mix of veggies and spices or enjoying a family meal in their dedicated area, and the bar's a treat with its range of drinks that pair nicely with the food. It's managed to build a warm, welcoming atmosphere that's ideal for catching up with friends or celebrating an occasion, and from what I've heard from others, the staff often go the extra mile to make you feel at ease. That said, it's not all smooth sailing; you might find the noise levels a bit overwhelming if you're after a quiet pint, and there have been a few grumbles about drinks not being poured just right, which can put a damper on things. Overall, though, it's worth a visit if you're in the mood for something a bit different – just keep your expectations balanced, and you'll likely have a memorable time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is a real highlight, with authentic Eritrean dishes made from scratch that bring back memories of home-cooked meals – perfect if you're after something hearty and full of flavour, like their popular lamb cubes or vegetable combos.
-
The atmosphere is spot on for a relaxed evening; it's welcoming for families with dedicated seating, and the bar offers a great selection of cocktails, wines, and traditional drinks to unwind with.
-
Service is generally top-notch, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home, and it's a fantastic spot for events like birthdays or gatherings, helping to create those special moments.
Cons
-
Some drinks service could do with a bit of fine-tuning, like properly pouring a pint of Guinness to let it settle, which might leave you a tad disappointed if that's your go-to.
-
It can get quite noisy, especially with the TV blaring, making it tricky to have a proper chat with mates without raising your voice.
-
The food doesn't always hit the mark for everyone; a few folks have mentioned it's not consistently great, so it might vary depending on what you order.

We were served the worst pints of Guinness ever today. The barman decided to pour the whole pint in one go rather than the correct way of letting it settle. Awful. How do you not know how to pour a pint of Guinness correctly. Training required.
Too noisy. Ok in the front. Asked them to lower the TV volume but nothing done. Couldn't talk with my friends.
