About This Pub

Ah, the Spotted Cow – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper hidden gem in Walsall, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that classic, straightforward charm where you can kick back with a decent pint and enjoy the simple pleasures. The jukebox is a real highlight, dishing out tunes that get everyone in the mood, and they've sorted out good dart boards and live acts for a bit of extra fun. Sports fans will love having it on the telly, making it a great place to catch a game with mates. On the upside, the beers are spot on, and it's got this cosy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses – one review mentioned some dodgy hygiene, like glasses with old lip marks and a pint that smelled off, which is a shame and could spoil your night. Weekends might be a tad rowdy for those seeking peace, so timing your visit could make all the difference. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and fancy a no-fuss drink, but I'd say go in with your eyes open and maybe check things out first-hand.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's a proper, no-nonsense local pub with a cracking jukebox that keeps the vibe lively and fun.
  • They've got great dart facilities and sports on the telly, making it a top spot for a casual game or watching the match.
  • The pints are excellent, with good beers on tap, and it has that cosy, welcoming feel that's just right for a relaxed evening.
Cons
  • There have been some reports of hygiene issues, like unclean glasses and pints that didn't taste right, which could put you off.
  • It can get a bit too lively on weekends, so if you're after a quiet pint, weekdays might be your best bet.
  • The operating hours aren't clearly listed, which means you might have to double-check before heading out.
