Right, so I was catching up with a few mates the other day about our favourite spots in Harrogate, and Roland's definitely came up as one worth chatting about. It's this neat little cocktail bar tucked away on Parliament Street, serving up some truly brilliant drinks – think top-quality Old Fashioneds and Bloody Marys that leave you wanting another round. The place has this welcoming feel with its exposed brick and straightforward wooden tables, making it ideal for a laid-back evening or a catch-up over a few tipples. From what I've seen in the reviews, the staff are usually bang on, being friendly and getting things sorted quickly, which adds to the charm. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect; there've been times when service drags a bit, like serving other folks first or getting chatty when they should be on the ball. Plus, the drink selection isn't massive, and scanning a QR code for the menu might frustrate you if your phone's not cooperating or the Wi-Fi's rubbish. All in all, with a solid 4.3 rating, it's a great shout for cocktail enthusiasts, but just keep those little niggles in mind for a smoother visit.

Probably the nicest cocktail I've had. I had the old fashioned and my girlfriend had a bloody Mary. Both of us loved them! And the place itself was so nice :) staff were amazing too!!

A really nice bar with a unique interior thanks to the exposed brickwork, plain wooden tables and simplistic nature. The bar staff are really friendly and efficient, and although the range of cocktails and draught drinks isn’t overly extensive, each is served professionally and the cocktails very tasty. The atmosphere is welcoming and with the DJ starting in the early evening on a weekend it has the right level of ‘liveliness’. Food is limited to a small number of pizzas and nibbles which works well. Some will also appreciate that it’s dog friendly, but note it’s card payments only. Certainly somewhere I’ll be returning to!

Visited on a fairly quiet Friday afternoon around 4pm. We ordered a pint and a red wine and was told the red wine would be brought over to us. The guy behind the bar proceeded to then serve a further 2 customers after us, including making cocktails, before then turning to his colleague to chat. Clearly he'd forgotten about the wine. He had to be reminded. The apology felt quite empty. Terrible service.

Lovely place to get a cocktail. Nice not to see the usual cocktails on the list and a twist on some of the classics. Prices seem to be the same as everywhere else these days. You have to scan a QR code to access the menu, alright if you have a signal. A friend with an iPhone was struggling to get the link to open. Once we had decided what we wanted, we struggled to get someone to take our order. I did feel since the menu was presented online that it would have been ideal to order and pay online, saving us having to wait for someone. We had the same struggle ordering our second drink. The cocktails were well presented and tasted spot on. I would recommend trying this place even if the table service is a little slow.
