About This Pub
You know, when you step into Revolución de Cuba in Harrogate, it's like being transported to a lively Havana hideaway right in the heart of town – the Cuban vibes, with all that Latin-inspired decor and the promise of fresh tapas and top-notch cocktails, really set the scene for a memorable evening. I have to say, the happy hour deals are an absolute winner; grabbing a couple of those 2-4-1 cocktails feels like such a smart choice, and the live music adds this extra spark that makes you want to linger a bit longer. The staff are genuinely lovely too, always up for a chat and happy to recommend something special, which makes the whole experience feel more personal. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing – there have been times when service drags, leaving you twiddling your thumbs while waiting for your food or drinks, and a few folks have mentioned the grub not quite hitting the mark, whether it's a lack of flavour in the dishes or items suddenly being off the menu. Plus, it can feel a touch quiet on certain nights, which might dampen the party spirit if you're after a buzzing crowd. All in all, it's a cracking place for a relaxed catch-up with mates, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and maybe plan around those peak times for the best vibe – I'd still recommend giving it a go for the cocktails alone!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cocktails are absolutely spot on, especially with those brilliant 2-4-1 deals during happy hour – a real treat for anyone who loves a good rum-based tipple.
-
The staff are so welcoming and friendly; they make you feel right at home, and some even share fun insights about the drinks, like how to make a Zombie cocktail.
-
It's got that lovely Cuban vibe with live music and a lively atmosphere that really gets you in the mood for a celebration.
-
The deals on tapas and cocktails make it a fantastic spot for a casual get-together with friends, adding a bit of flair to an ordinary night out.
Cons
-
Service can be a bit on the slow side, even when things aren't too busy, which might leave you waiting longer than you'd like for your order.
-
Some food experiences fall short, like dishes that lack seasoning or items that aren't available, which can be a bit disappointing.
-
The place sometimes feels a tad empty and quiet, especially on off-peak evenings, making it hard to capture that full fiesta energy.
-
Bottomless brunch has its ups and downs, with things like overly sweet, store-bought salsa that doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Chilled bar with a great value 2-4-1 cocktail deal for happy hour, some really nice live music going on. Liked the Chile Verde cocktail in particular. Food smelt great, will have that next time. Friendly service from Alex and colleagues. What’s not to like?!
We visited today for a bottomless brunch. The place was very empty and I think there were only two staff members working. Overall I'd say we had an okay experience.
To start, they brought us a mimosa each and some chips and salsa. The salsa was very sweet, definitely store bought and tasted a lot like the one from the jar you can get at the supermarket, which disappointed us a bit as we expected something a little bit more authentic.
We had the breakfast burrito and the chorizo hash for food. The burrito was okay, it was very greasy but was the better dish of the two. I wasn't a fan of the chorizo hash, everything on the dish tasted strongly of peppers which just wasn't to my taste.
For the drinks, we went for the standard bottomless brunch so there were only a couple of options to choose from. We opted for the rum punch for most of our drinks, which was quite good and presented well every time, the bar tender did a good job. I did want to have some
strawberry daiquiris but they told me they were unavailable as the mix hadn't frozen yet. Again this was quite disappointing as the only drinks I was interested in were the rum punch and the daiquiri, so I just kept ordering the same drink.
The server was really nice, but there were quite a few times that we sat with empty glasses waiting for him to ask if we wanted to order anything else. We also felt that we were inconveniencing them a bit by ordering drinks but obviously it is a bottomless brunch and you pay to have bottomless drinks!
All in all, I wouldn't go for a bottomless brunch here again personally. We usually go to turtle bay for bottomless brunch and they have much better food and so many drinks options, I just couldn't warrant coming back here.
We had a lovely atmosphere here today. Staff was so friendly and deals on the cocktails and tapas are great too. We loved watching our Zombie cocktails in make. ☺️ Dylan was very friendly and informative about the deals.
It was OK, I guess. Just the 2 of us and another table of 4 in on a Wednesday night at 6ish, and service was sloooow. After I ordered my food, I was then told it was unavailable so had get something else. Food looked great when it eventually showed but lacked seasoning, and one of the meals, a burrito bowl, was practically cold. It's definitely not worth the £40 we spent. We we're really looking forward to trying it as well.
Looked great outside but I was surprised when I entered how empty and dead it was for a Sunday evening. Menu looked fab.
Took awhile to get service from the two members of staff on duty.
Food ordered and then waited for the food. Food wasn't bad even though the burger tasted a little cold in the middle.
I did plan on having desert but again due to the service or lack of service I sat waiting quite awhile for someone to come to the table to order. Eventually I went to the bar and paid. Even that wasn't straight forward as the card machine wasn't working and she had to find a second machine.
It's not a great look when you are waiting on service and the people working are either chatting or on their phones.
